Bottom line is they've done something positive and the moaning gits are out in force again. Don't you think it's a little bit strange that a supporters council has had to lobby a business for a long period of time to get them to install a system that will make it easier to take money from a paying customer? That's the real bottom line.

Don't you think it's a little bit strange that a supporters council has had to lobby a business for a long period of time to get them to install a system that will make it easier to take money from a paying customer? That's the real bottom line. IMHO the business (SCFC) is run operationally by an inept CEO who really isn’t bothered about the customer experience unless it’s Corporate Hospitality. He relies upon the “ordinary” supporter being willing to accept second best. That’s not intended in anyway to be disrespectful to anyone, because I’m as bad when it comes to SCFC. Yet get a poor pint served in a pub and I’m the first to complain. Season ticket holders and people buying match tickets should have the choice between a plastic card/paper ticket or electronic tickets that can be stored on mobile devices and scanned. 21st century thinking required!!

What happens if your battery runs down just as you arrive at the turnstile? You do exactly the same with digital boarding passes for planes and digital tickets for trains, don’t smash fuck out the battery knowing you will need it for this purpose rather than watching youporn 😂 As if

Couldn't give a crap about the rest of it, but how about and an improvement to the mobile network. I don't know whether Stoke have any control over it. What's really annoying is they don't give the scores at half time, mostly, and their is no mobile access either. It's just the weight of traffic in a contained area so not much Stoke can do about that. If you want a top tip turn your phone onto 3g only or even 2g you'll get a better signal floating underneath the traffic...that tactic is a secret though... 😉

The idea that contactless payments are a complicated and expensive capex project is ludicrous. It costs almost nothing and infact increases revenue and cuts costs and risk. Who ever released that press release claiming that is a complete moron. The main issue they have us that mobile terminals would struggle as the signal is killed by so many mobiles being in proximity so they'd need wired base terminals but as they have an ethernet till network already that's already solved. It'd take less than a couple of days to sort out the entire stadium. To be honest I do think the club at times take us for morons. Having spent the last week messing with AI taking 999 calls somebody making a song and dance about contactless Payments winds me up. I watched Ajax v Vitesse 2 years ago and the experience their versus ours on a match day is night and day. Ajax actually want you to spend money.

I was in Stoke station the other day , and there was a massive row going on about an e ticket for a family of four to somewhere for 250 quid
I didn't catch the basic problem ... dodgy phone screen ? flat battery on phone ? I don't know ?
Virgin trains staff , were saying ... you will just have to buy another ticket for another 250 quid ( I know ! that makes 500 quid !! ) and then try and claim the original 250 quid back . The family of four were threatening major violence And just when it was about to kick off ... my train turned up .. boll#cks !
A few days later , I was out with my two sons and one said ...I will have to set off back now ...my battery is on 21% and I have to get back to Cambridge ...and I have one of those stupid e tickets from trainline
He said ... I will just buy a normal train ticket from now on ( makes sense )
With home gates of over 20,000 . Some people are going to have problems with their phone
And like railway customers , pissed up groups of lads , families off to the match with their kids , can get violently pissed off very quickly with e ticketing
A normal ticket works fine , regardless of whether you forgot to charge your phone or not.
Why create a problem out of nowhere .

The ground itself was out dated when it was built, even much smaller clubs have built better stadiums.

Bottom line is they've done something positive and the moaning gits are out in force again. The bottom line is; we’re in the 21st century and any progressive thinking customer service based organisation is either “in front of the game” or “on the ball” in respect of customer experience. If you accept 2nd best as the OK standard fair enough. There are others who constructively wish to see SCFC at the fore front of customer service. Those “moaning gits” funnily enough campaign for improvements that the like of enjoy.

Why create a problem out of nowhere . So because some people are too daft to make sure their phone is fully charged when they know they're going to somewhere that requires an e-ticket and there's a chance that some stupid people might kick off when they're denied entry because of their own mistake, we shouldn't roll out something that would make purchasing tickets much easier for younger fans in particular? Using your logic, paper tickets should be scrapped too because there's a chance that people might lose them or forget to bring them, and people should just be allowed in without a ticket if they turn up without a valid ticket just in case they might kick off. E-tickets ultimately are the same as traditional paper or plastic card tickets, you have to make sure you take the necessary preparatory steps before you reach the venue/use the service. With paper and card tickets that's making sure you bring them with you along with any ID that might be required. And with e-tickets, it's making sure your phone has enough charge on before you leave. If your battery dies or you break your screen etc it's tough luck, just as it's always been if you lose your paper ticket or spill beer all over it and it gets wrecked. And in the case of Stoke, if a person does turn up with a flat battery I'd imagine it'd be pretty easily resolved by a trip to the ticket office where they'd be able to find proof of your transaction and issue a paper ticket if you can provide the right details. You're creating problems that just aren't there.

It took me longer to put my Keter plastic shed up and its warmer! H If memory serves me well. It was a joint venture between the club (Peter Coates) and St Mowden (Stan Clarke) who got the land for sweet FA. The Council loaned the JV or SCFC about £4 million as the stadium was going to be a “Community Stadium” (what a load of b******s). It was alleged the loan was never fully repaid by SCFC (Peter Coates) who then purchased the ground some years later. Publicly the stadium cost £15 million to construct. Who really knows!! There was a certain smell about the dealings which over time has dissipated. All things alleged obviously. Possibly others can shed more light on affair
