Let's get a grip on this. Shaq ain't fit to lace Arnie's boots. Imagine Arnie in a free flowing top 6 side. Shaq scored 2 deflected goals ! Simply put, had we sold Shaq instead of Arnie we would still be a premiership side. So, please explain why Arnie is plying his trade for a mediocre premier league team and Shaq looks to be in with a good shot of picking up a league winners medal. Let's be clear. Both are cracking players. They could each lace each other's laces.

Shaq is a show pony. Do you really think Klippety will play him in the tough latter stages of the champions league ? Arnie can carry a lesser team like West ham, Shaq couldn't do that last year at Stoke.

Possibly the best signing / transfer of the season. He doesn’t have to play every game, he doesn’t have to carry the team , he doesn’t have the expectations of the crowd that he had with us and I’m sure he doesn’t have to track back as he has more quality behind him. Good luck to him and I hope he gets a winners medal.

He’s also just won Liverpool the game against their bitter rivals Man Utd, so not a tough game at all. He also dismantled Man City singlehandedly when he was here. Show pony, utter utter piss.

We would have been relegated by Christmas without Shaqiri, he’s as good as if not a better player than Arnautovic.

Shaq didn't dismantle Man City alone. Who actually put the ball in the net ? Owd Bojan Mackey and Sorenson give me the feeling that they're part of the Bojan is the answer brigade ! Arnie up to 25 mil and Shaq 12 mil. Liverpool didn't have too much competition did they ? And excuse me but both goals today were deflections.

Shaqiri has, by all accounts, been on fire for Liverpool so far. He also set up both goals against City and was part of the best front 3 our club has had in my lifetime. Bojan is very much included in that. Had we utilised all 3 of them instead of bottling it and sticking Crouch up front with Joe Allen, we would not be where we are now.

Shaqiri, with one of the best through balls I’ve ever seen for the first goal. Shaqiri’s release clause also happened to be £12 million, hence the fee. You’re not covering yourself in much glory here, but carry on trying to have a pop at a player who is now deservedly playing for a team challenging for a Premier League title whilst we sit in the middle of the Championship table watching James McLean run down blind alleyways and Benik Afobe trip over his own cock.

Shaq is a show pony. Do you really think Klippety will play him in the tough latter stages of the champions league ? Arnie can carry a lesser team like West ham, Shaq couldn't do that last year at Stoke. He was pretty much the only player who scored or set up any goals for us in the second half of the season. Lambert’s fairly explicit plan of attack was give the ball to Shaqiri. It was basically the definition of carrying a team.

He carried us that well we got relegated. As for the current recruitment, that's a totally different discussion.

Factually incorrect. The previous season with Arnie we stopped up. Last season with Shaq, relegation. Keep digging.

It's too soon to pass final judgment on Shaqiri's Liverpool career. He did very well today but it was no more than a cameo. He didn't have to chase back and cover for defenders who were astray upfield. Let's see what he is and how he does when the going gets tough, like when Liverpool starts losing matches to lesser teams as they always do. Too bad we're not around to remind them of the score in one of their last visits to our place.
