We are rotten from top to bottom. Trouble is those in charge STILL can not see it and they will be in charge when so no clean broom when we go down

Massive massive trouble we’re in and today’s results are making it far worse. The Coates family have fucked up massively in not sacking the useless one sooner and whoever comes in is going to have to get us going instantly

Swansea winning. West Brom winning.
So that’s both teams below us winning.
We’re managerless and there’s 2 weeks of the window left, we need signings.
On top of all of that, Arnautovic is bagging like no mans business.
I’m resigned to relegation already.

It depends if the team are as shit as they have looked for a long time, or if that was the Hughes Effect. I personally think we lack quality throughout the team. What have we actually done well this season? I'm watching Newcastle v Swansea. I can see 2 poor sides with little skill (poor passing, poor shooting, lack of ideas, just one bit of brilliance from Dyer), but I can also see loads of effort and some speed about the pitch. Two teams who are really trying hard to get a result and prepared to put their bodies on the line. Fair enough, but we seem to lack quality and grit. I think we are in real trouble, especially with today's news.

Can't see us getting out of the bottom 3
The dire situation we are in should have been sorted months ago.

Not being melodramatic but unless the new manager (if someone ever actually wants the job) can produce an almost total head shift, we're the weakest team in the bottom 3, have lost all momentum, shape and confidence just as others are beginning to gain it - SCFC board, look at Palace and hang your ostrich heads in shame. This situation is down to you, not Sparky. My gut is we'll survive, by the skin of our teeth I strongly suspect, but 17th wil be a massive, massive result for us this season. Sorry but your gut makes no sense if you then re read your sentence above, which I totally agree with My heart hopes we scrape it, but my head says no chnace given the state we have sleep walked in to. Even when we have won we looked a shambles. Now we just look a rudderless shambles and our GD does not lie. Very rare for a team with the worst GD to stay up and no manager at the worst time of the season I was born with an optimistic gut, sorry But you are so right about the GD. I know. A team doesn't get tonked so bad and so often for no reason.

A lot more today, nearly half way through the window, no manager & if we are to get one looks like we could well be starting from scratch in the search.
No new players & the squad we currently have is not going to keep us up. I am normally quite positive when it comes to Stoke but i have to say i just do not know where we will find enough bunnys & enough hats to find the right gaffer & at least, the very very least 3 players of significant quality.
Just look at our midfield options alone & the writing is on the wall for me.

I'll def restart the stayingupfor names for anyone that wants one - but I don't have the heart to do that yet till we have anew manager.

Yes we are in deep shit and todays results are not good but it comes down to what we do.Hopefully we can put in a morale boosting performance on Monday(not get thrashed) then beat Huddersfield at home it will all look a lot better.Obviously we need a managerial appointment early next week at the latest, made my feelings known on other threads that i believe MON and Keane can get us out of this.It looks bad but i still think we can get out of this.

Yes I do think we are going to go down. If we get MON then I'll be pissed off but he increases our chances of survival considerably IMO.

They held on to sacking Hughes so we wouldn't do an Everton.
Now here we are a week after doing the deed and we don't have a manager.
Which would be fine if we had sacked him 6 weeks ago.
There are two and a half weeks until the window closes.
A week before we have a must win home game.
The board need to hang their heads in shame with how they've handled this from the start to finish.
They've shown a complete lack of awareness, they've shown absolute arrogance and are taking us down.

We're a bit fucked, really comes down to how shit the teams around us are And there are some right shitters in this league, but i can't say their currently worse than us. Who ever comes in has got a hell of a job on their hands. We were poor last season but got away with as there was worse...
This season we are worse and doing our best to go down in style with some right " Tonkings " .
Are here 3 worse then us this time round? I don't think so , certainly as most can pick up a win here or there and don't get thumped as often.. We don't have nothing obvious to get us points be it a tight defence, pace to create chances , or a lethal striker and we are the last to change a manager who was on a bad run and at time when we need new players....
So yes we are trouble which ever way you look at it!

6 points between 12-20th Places.
Plenty of teams on shit form.
Plenty who have worse squads than us.
We aren`t fucked yet thats for sure.
But, the next two home games are against two teams who are dying....... we must demand 6 points from these two games.
Therefore appointing someone asap and getting some fresh players through the door is imperative now.
I`m gutted about QSF but it`s done now, an appointment has to be made literally asap so they can prepared for the first of two huge games in albeit it 6 days time now.
3 weeks today - this thread will have a lot more relevance.

Watching the other teams around us only Swansea are worse than us..West Ham,WBA, Saints, all getting results...at the start of the season i had money on with my FIL (Irish ManU fan) that we would go down...sadly looks like i will be collecting. We are awful.

Well we got a Right-Back in at least. Just need a manager, a new CEO/transfer team, a mobile defensive midfielder, and a mobile striker who can score. Then fix Shaq who looks about as interested in Stoke as my Dad Get Wimmer out of the team. Get Berahino out of Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire. Do some defensive training Do some fitness training Improve the moral of the team Hope there are 3 worse teams than us Theres quite a lot to do....... 50% are quite easy to do. Ill take wimmer and berahino myself and drop them off in Wolverhampton. Agree with above but need a left back and a fit centre also unless Coates was given £50m in his birthday card not much is going to get better or at least at the standard we now need

The run of ' winable games ' starts immeadiately after man utd Whoever comes in has one game ( man utd) to work out whats wrong and start banking some wins Thats a big ask After a hsndful of winable games, it gets hard again Now we know why west ham palace everton wba swansea acted early Still no clues as to why stoke would want to dither and dither. Not helpful to the new guy, Whoever he is because dithering is one of the things we are the masters at!!!!
