Like we did with Delap???
Don't be ridiculous, they're not even remotely the same thing and you know it.
If you're seriously going to respond with stuff like this, then there's no point continuing with the discussion.
Why arent they? Delap was on loan and broke his leg we didnt know if he was even gonna play again, Bojan was back playing if not as well as before.

I can't believe that I'm even bothering to respond to you.
We weren't giving a Rory a contract extension and a pay increase in order to get another player to stay with us were we?
You're really scraping the barrel now ...

Werrington. No mate he isn't. He isn't any worse than what we are seeing. Neither are some of the young lads we have. Joselu isn't any worse than what we have either. They have been brought into the club and driven away at the first sign of trouble. It is completely baffling and i would pay more than a penny for the Chairman's thoughts. We even lost the u23 game he played. Therein lies the answer No we didn't.

'You don't give pay increases and contract extensions to players coming off the backs of very serious injuries who still clearly haven't recovered in order to do so though.' Thats exactly what we did with Delap. read Kenny Dalglish's book he did exactly the same at Blackburn Read more: oatcakefanzine.proboards.com/thread/267137/bojan-bad?page=3#ixzz4dh8O8iVP

Bojan is perhaps the only one I would not blame the manager on. It would sadly appear since his second very bad injury he is lost. Which is such a shame because for a brief few games he was such a pleasure to watch

What on earth are you talking about?
I asked you ... if we didn't think that Bojan had recovered from his injury, why didn't we just wait and find out before giving him a pay rise and an extended contract?
And you said we did it to make Arnie stay.
That has got absolutely nothing to do with what happened with Rory.

you also said you dont give contracts or externsions to coming off a bad injury that is where Delap comes in. Didnt you read the link I sent you? Hughes says that he hopes Bojans new contract will help Arny to sign

No I directly quoted you and said that teams don't give contract extensions and pay rises to players coming off a bad injury who they aren't confident have recovered, in order to get other players to sign.
Go back and read the thread (properly) and you'll realise that Rory, had nothing to do with what we were discussing.
I've ALREADY told you that I believe that Hughes thought Bojan was worthy of a new contract because he was sure he was fully recovered, it's you who is suggesting that he wasn't.
As for the link, and ... ?
That's a hell of a stretch to believe that Hughes gave Bojan a new deal so that Arnie would. It doesn't remotely read like that.

Bojan, along with at least 10 others would benefit from a new gaffer.
Truthfully, I have no optimism for us with Hughes in charge which is strange because he's more likely to attract the higher calibre players.

Seriously ......no attacking threat no creativity etc etc I'm totally fucking baffled by his exclusion and loan away from the club Wez this season can't be over quick enough for me. From that team with Bojan that promised so much, that we all bought into...to this shower that we're suffering to watch at the moment. All Hughes has done since then is spend tens of millions and done nothing other than disassembling an exciting squad, alienate players with potential and resort to a style of football that got his predecessor sacked! We have zero identity, players out of position and an aged squad that looks like it hasn't been invested in for 5 years! You may not agree but I want Les gone at the end of the season and a manager in that will give back all that we've lost this last seasons and a half!

I said two games into his return that he was finished.
Called it about Odemwingie too.
It's obvious when a player has 'gone'. Why others can't see it I'll never know.
Bojan is finished at the top level.

Bojan, since his inception into the Barcelona team, has had his spells and then flattered to deceive. The reason he's moved from club to club and is now languishing around the bench at Mainz is because he isn't good enough to nail down a position in any team he's played for.Injury or not,he's either mentally fragile or just not good enough to compete in the modern game

Well, he's hardly setting the place alight at Mainz, just an 8 minute sub appearance this weekend. I'm pretty sure he hasn't scored since going there either. We have problems, sure, but Bojan isn't the answer.

Not a member of the Hughes out brigade but must say his substitutions against Liverpool were possibly the signatures to his demise into the Stoke City archives of past managers. So sad as it could so easily have gone in the opposite direction to the small elite list of greats
