Nice to see him getting a run out today. Thought he worried them when he was on the ball as he looked quick. A few bad decisions but I think he's got a lot of potential.

He made all bad decisions and today shows that he is no good in choosing the time or to find the space for make a cross in the area. Btw he is a second striker and not a winger, even if FM shows that he can play there

Best player on the pitch for us. Good to see him get a run out, but best player on the pitch for us? Behave. Seemed to be the only one with forward intent. Shame his final ball was poor. Mind you compared to arnie he was stellar.

I'm undecided. I'd love him to burst through and be great for us...but so far he's done very little in the game time he's had.

I'm not sure about him at all.
He is being played out of position and his head visibly dropped as the game went on.
He has talent, but needs to be handled carefully. Is Hughes the right man to bring a youngster through?

Don't think it was the time or the place for him today. Desperate as everyone is for some sort of return from the youth programme nothing Ngoy has done yet has been noteworthy.

I thought his confidence went very quickly today. The lad can run with the ball at pace but wrong decisions and poor crossing saw his head drop. It'll be interesting to see how Hughes manages this lad. Certainly seems like a player who needs an arm around him.
I'm sure I saw Wheelan shouting ' he's fucking crap' to someone. Maybe he was on about Berahino though...

Think he did alright, would rather have him on over Afellay in that position
At least he looked to run and beat his man, the rest he can learn

The only outcomes would be his head dropping and the opposition knowing to target him, and then the team performance would suffer he had to be on about someone from WBA, no? Whelan wasn't exactly 'fucking brilliant' for their goal either

That would be because he's got about fifteen minutes to try and do anything, barely gets passed the ball and is being played out of position, you really expect him to go and set the world on fire?

I think that's what meant by "not the time and place for him today". Nobody is slating him, just being realistic about his impact. Yes, he was positive in trying to get forward, but it was a lot of dead ends rather than end product. Good experience for him, and hopefully he'll pick his head back up and learn from it.

Absolutely not but his involvement in a game like today is a waste. We needed immediate impact and he isn't at that level yet. (short spells coming on as sub is the way a lot of youngsters have to make an impact by the way - it's the nature of the things)

Whelan wasn't exactly 'fucking brilliant' for their goal either He said it to another player as he walked away from another move breaking down. Only he will know who he was referring to but it seemed to me like it was Ngoy. And your right, it was Wheelans initial mistake that led to the goal so quite ironic he should say it about someone else !

He said "he's f'ing crap" at Hughes after N'goy failed to control a shit pass from him. He then waved his hands up and stared at Hughes again mid-play after N'goy lost the ball again.
At first I was outraged, but after today's showing... his judgement was probably justified. N'goy was quick, but that was it.
Completely static off the ball, didn't move the ball anywhere near enough when on it, and made the same flat run inside every time. He started brightly but his head dropped almost immediately (commentator's mentioned that too) and, ultimately, did very little right with quite a bit of space at times.
Shame, because he's clearly quick and has better technical ability than say Diouf or Moha.
You could say the same about Saido and Diouf to be fair.
