Don't our own fans in some number raise the issue everytime we play Arsenal, I'm sure Ryan finds that pretty cringeworthy too. But hey you dig out one person who mentions it on a message board. Dig what out ? it was in the Sentinel , he wrote it , put his name to it how is that digging anything out ? I found it poor from one of our fans using that incident against our captain. Is he beyond criticism because of what he created ? Are you a politician, you seem to like avoiding any point other than your own. I repeat our fans raise this issue in quite large numbers every time we play Arsenal, I'd imagine Ryan finds that pretty bloody cringeworthy so whats so special about smudge mentioning it, not like its that thing off Harry Potter or Macbeth that no one is supposed to mention. I don't see it as a major issue but smudge is right Ryan would be foolish to antagonise the very fans that have hero worshipped him and cut him every bit of slack when he's made mistakes.

I'm just honest are you, as for Smudge here is where I have a problem he is a stoke fan and used the most heartbreaking moment our captain has been through and having been slaughtered by the media he gets the incident used against him by one of his own. Thats low by any standards and it's tasteless and nasty, Ryan owes me and every other stoke fan nothing, I dont expect anything from him other to try his best and "cupping" his ears to fans who on here abuse players every week using every expletive known to man. I do not have an issue with the sentiments of the article but he smudge choose to make a big deal out of nothing and used Ramsey as a excuse for him not to react to fans why ? So because "we" stuck up for Ryan you cant saying anything back...... pathetic. And I'll say it again if it were any other fan from any other club bringing Ramsey up it would have been vile on here so just because he's a stoke fan makes no difference in fact given the context of the quote it's worse.

When you think of some of the piss taking wankers we've had playing for the club over the years and at a time when Stoke fans seem as split as they have for nearly four years it seems a particularly odd time to take agin a lad who has literally put his back on the line for the club. Back on the line for the club! My word you're adorable. He puts his back on the line for his career, his financial gain. He cares for Stoke as much as he would for any other club paying his big wage. He's not here for loyalty, he's here as nobody better has shown an interest. Also where has it ever been stated he's risking permanent damage to his back by currently playing? He's been piss poor as a player apart from maybe 1 or 2 games since his return and as a captain he's always been useless, drops his head when we concede and does very little to motivate those around him. Yeah he's been decent for us, but never anywhere near the level half the rose tinters believe. Would I get rid? of course not but he's not exactly earning his spot, sadly though there is no competition due to a manager whose inept at balancing his team. The emotionless passion free mindset of the modern fan. Ever likely the place is like a fucking morgue.

AND it just keeps rolling on
its crazy that hughes now needs to come out and defend Ryan.
Im sure the squad and management are thinking the supporters are a bunch of fickle fannies now.
Smudge should retract his whole article so we can move on from this pathetic episode

I thought i'd click on this thread with it being 7 pages long i thought there may be something to it.
I haven't seen the Sentinel or this thread since Tuesdays game so consider me considerably suprised that an article was written about how Ryan celebrated and the fact that a handful of people, and one prat with his foot in the door at that shower of shit "newspaper" may have taken offence to it.
It beggars belief, it really does, pathetic.
