His legs are over-muscled and must be as tight as piano wires: time for less weights and more yoga. Absolutely spot on!

I agree to most of the comments about his fitness and admit it would be tempting to offload if we got £15M back. Despite this I really think we'll struggle to bring in anyone at his level during the rest of the transfer window, but maybe the next one? He is a very good and talented player though, but way too injury prone as too many of our players are right now!

Since we've had him what is his longest run in the team injury free? 3 games? Definatly seems that way

I realise Joe Allen is the exception but maybe he proves the rule - Hughes is not very good with large sums of money. Compare his Man City and QPR tenures with Fulham and Blackburn. Shaq, Imbula, Joselu, Diouf look at best like it will be a long time before they pay off. By contrast Bojan, Johnson, Arnie, Wolly, Afellay, Pieters all seem like good business.

If true he's becoming a very expensive liabilty. No doubting his talent but very frustrating as it leaves us with only Arni and Sobhi as our wide options with no one off the bench. I'd be tempted to Let him go if we can get an alternative in.

Very frustrating if true.
Possibly why we're in for the likes of Pulisic.

Hughes was quite optimistic in his Conference the other day, so unless they've scanned him I don't know what's changed.
Let's wait and see what the news is tomorrow.

Hughes said yesterday that he could be a possibility for the weekend. Sounds like a whole lot of Bs to me.

If it's true, I'd honestly fuck him off.
How many times is he out a season? 7? 8?
Bored of it.

He's definitely not in the Swiss squad - so doesn't seem to be much doubt about it?
Shaqiri four to six weeks out?
In this figuring no new name. Compared to the EURO squad there are few changes. 20 of 23 EM-players are also nominated for the start of the World Cup qualifiers: The most noticeable difference is the lack of Xherdan Shaqiri. The attacking midfielder learned during the week in a variety of examining at its Stoke that the muscle injury in his right calf is more serious than previously thought and may require a break of four to six weeks.

The Egyptians on here seemed to suggest he hasn't played much on the right. But given the lack of other options, I'd certainly be tempted. Put Arnie on the right as the senior player and let sobhi start on the left. They can switch during the game. The lad is right footed though. It has to be easier to play on the right as a right footer despite all this inverted winger bollocks. Crouch will start for sure so get two wide men on and get some crosses into the box, preferably from as close to the byline as is feasibly possible But Arnie is rubbish on the right but ace on the left. We need a proper right winger with genuine pace, it's one of the most important signings we need to make IMHO.

You've said that before but Arnie has had good games on the right before and usually at at a time when there has been a perception that he's been struggling for form. As a right footer it is surely more difficult to play on the left. The fact Arnie makes it look so easy means he could surely use his talents on the right. People said Moses couldn't play on the right yet he left here and started like a steam train on the right wing at west ham. Arnie in the right, sobhi on the left or vice versa surely has to be infinitely more preferable than seeing Walters, diouf or bojan out there

The first choice left wing position is as nailed as much as our first choice goalkeeper position is nailed, it'd be madness to mess with it.
