Getting dicked at Sunderland and Bolton after the Europa was probably worse.
This is right up there though.

Oooh i dunno, we've had a handful of nightmares. 5-0 at Bolton was a bit shocking, 4-0 at Sunderland wasn't particularly good, Chelsea 7-0 wasn't too clever.

Pretty shocking defensively. Not trying to blame him in any way but I'm pretty sure some of our worst defensive displays this calendar year have been when Ryan is in the side?
Might be totally off base there mind.

It's not been entirely his fault but Haugaard is not ready, he's so indecisive, and has cost us at least 2 goals today. Shay has to get the nod now

How can we look worse with Shawcross in the team? This is just embarrassing, every time they get the ball we piss ourselves

A lot of poor performances today
Keeper like a rabbit in the headlights
Both full backs having new ones ripped and dreadful decisions
Afellay really poor
And Crouch is a shadow of himself, pointless.
Bet he hooks Bojan though!
I would bring Diouf up front, and Charlie for Afellay.

But how can we defend this bad when the bastard son of Beckenbauer is playing?

Keeper is too slow cumbersome and immobile. He also appears not to like to come and meet the ball. Not all his fault of course but hardly inspires confidence.

There have been a few embarrassing defensive displays this season with this just being the latest. Both ends of the pitch need some surgery over the summer.
The keeper is looking poor too which is a shame. I'd give Shay a go next game.

Have to say I feel for Haugård though..Not easy coming into the side, probably full of nerves. I'm shure he is going to have an awfull night tonight. Time to give Shay the gloves, till' the end of the season. It could have been worse, atleast we're no longer relegation contenders. Bring on next season you rip roaring!

We've teetered on the edge of this for a while - if the keeper takes all the flack for this then it is simply wrong. My focus would be on the midfield and the absence of one Mr G.Whelan - cover for him has got to be priority this summer.

I think inept fullbacks and a lack of a Whelan knackered us today.

Played well first half, especially considering how many players we were missing. Unlucky not be level at half time. In fact, I thought we shaded it first half. Poor defending cost us at the start of the second half, after that their heads dropped which you would expect in these circumstances.
It's frustrating, it's disappointing, but I don't think we need to over dramatize.

Need to sort it out. That string of 3.0 defeats this one and conceding leads at home isn't good enough. Look at the fucking goal difference. Looks like 10th at best now

Might be totally off base there mind. I hate to admit it, but I was thinking the same thing. CD is such a key position. It's very disruptive when Shawcross gets hurt and it takes a couple of games for the team to readjust and then we're fine without him. Then he's brought back (arguably too early) and everything goes to pot for a few games.

We don't play with enough intent or enough energy. It's all to much training ground shit for me. We've got some great technical players but we need to get about the pitch quicker - more pressing, like the rest of the league is doing.
And why Shawcross is playing was beyond me, why change the defence AGAIN?
For the summer - an upgrade on Whelan, a centre half, a right winger and a few home truths.
