They're fucking shit and we could have lost 6. Please let it be Shay next week. It should've been Shay last week and this.

Nothing he could do about the 4th for me. But it is wank. Definitely the right decision to play him over the proven and experienced Given..... It is and he should continue to play.

Sadly defending starts from the front and the vast majority of our team simply weren't at the races when it came to doing anything remotely like hard work.
I've seen traffic cones cover more ground than crouch, shaqiri is the dictionary definition of lazy, Cameron is crap, 3 of the back 4 were clearly not fit or have been playing with injuries for far too long whilst the goalkeeper looked like a rabbit trapped in the headlights.
A desperately disappointing day all round really and its hard to see where the next points are coming from.

It's not been entirely his fault but Haugaard is not ready, he's so indecisive, and has cost us at least 2 goals today. Shay has to get the nod now I agree but we're putting an unfit player into the team. That's stupid. Jonny Tex would have done better, or at least he would have tried. Neither Ryan, nor Peters and Bardsley looked like they really cared much. Which made it doubly difficult for the keeper, who clearly isnt respected by the defenders who should protect him but didnt.

Same old Stoke I'm sorry to say. Can't defend at one end and couldn't hit a barn door at ten paces at the other.

If he carries on doing it (like others cough second goal cough) then yes he shouldn't play. The lads had two games and today was a shocker but I thought he did well last week. He needs more time.

If that is the same old Stoke then how are we 9th in the league and reached the League Cup semi-final despite having many of our key players injured throughout the season? I really do wonder if the nonsense on here is representative of all Stoke fans.

Not sure what happened today, we let in goals we normally wouldn't and I havent had time to see who was really at fault BUT and this may have already been commented on but Wollscheid made the fastest run of the day from our team and the second fastest run from both teams.... So he's not quite as slow as first thought....which is a positive!

We've looked worse defensively even with Pulis in his last season to be honest, doesn't make today acceptable. It's the first time in as long as I can remember the that we've had to rely upon a back 4 that isn't settled and a rookie keeper- and it showed.
Said it in in the match thread but Shawcross' one track mind of hoofing the ball to no one just invites pressure. He'll lump it up when there's no real need to. No idea why he even played today. Break him in gently or risk fucking him up again.

In Premier League memory. Embarrassing. This fucker's not a keeper is he? He is no keeper that's for sure. I could have told you that a year ago just from reading the hilarity with which the news was greeted in Denmark that he was signing for a Premier league team.

Of course it fuckin matters,we need a pair who are comfortable with each other and that provide a backbone to the team.Without Whelan also we're a fuckin shambles in front of the back four.Fat too open for my liking I should of said does it matter this season. With Whelan we still concede. Too much made of Whelan being out. To me we need a player of his type but who can get around the pitch quicker, especially if he is playing alongside Imbula who appears to give up too much when he's not on the ball. He's another one who needs a lot of work on pre-season. I was about to ask if we'd never been hammered when Whelan was playing. I agree with you, his importance is overstated. We need some oomph in midfield. Someone similar to Noble from West Ham or even Joe Allen. We are a pretty side at the moment but lack organization and devil.
