The other day Sky had Stoke v Southampton as one of their classic matches - the 3-3 with Jerome's block buster and the demise of Jack Cork (bless him). If you want to see some comical defending, check out Huth in that game. He makes Wolly, Wilson et al look like Franco Baresi. But that doesn't fit the agenda.

Mrs Shawcross has spoken. They should delete their facebook, twitter and what ever else they have for this, disgraceful, fair enough making up bull shit transfer rumors as a look at me exercise if you're sad enough to do it but this is stepping way over the line.

Agreed, I think this should be the end of SL&P - Massive mistake.

Quite interesting if you search on Google under back pain and psychological.
There seems to be a wide acceptance among pain specialists that when back pain drifts from an acute, short-term problem into a chronic one, psychological factors come into play — often making the pain much worse.
Clearly we have no idea if that is the case here but the theory is not as laughable as I first thought. I can well imagine that if you see enough state of the art back pain experts then it won't be too long before you come across one of them espousing this theory as at least a part of your problem.

I don't believe the SLP story but how would the truth ever come out anyway even if it was true do they really think the club or Ryan would have announced there wasn't really a back injury, how naive are they.

Major own goal SLP.
Major apology needed. Even if the info is 100% right, that should never have been posted.

Utterly bamboozling that it was up in the first place. I see slpmarc is yet to respond to my point above. Worse than tabloid garbage that post was. I hope Ryan is unaware of it. What was said mate? they said (citing absolutely nobody as their source) that Ryan's injury was psychological. All in his head. Firstly, it sounds like utter bullshit. Secondly, if it is true, why leak such sensitive information? Absolute cretins and none of them have been on to explain themselves.

Mrs Shawcross has spoken. 'From what we've been told' = 'Mar mate down the pub' That's a pretty crap thing to post (not you Davef), best they post an apology and stay out of people's private affairs.

I would have commented on their FB threads about it but it looks like they’ve deleted everything to try and brush it under the carpet.
I couldn’t believe what I was reading yesterday. Its one thing being told something by someone ‘in the know’, we all have, its another actually posting that on social media for the world to see without any shred of proof.
Firstly, hiding behind this statement of ‘we were just posting what we were told’ is a poor excuse. THEY should take responsibility for everything they post, don’t try and be like a tacky tabloid and post everything you hear just to get a scoop. ‘We were just posting what we were told’ is not a get out of jail free card.
Secondly its clear common sense got thrown out of the window, not only were they saying Ryan has made it up, they are also saying the manager and the entire club are covering it up and lying to the fans and media in every interview where its discussed. They didn’t think about how undermining something like that can be.
Its also divisive as it could turn fans against the club too.
However lets say for 1 second it were true, do they really believe the club would come out and say Ryan made it all up because its in his head? Never in a million years would they. Naïve to say the least is the word that springs to mind.
I was reading this morning on FB a post from SLP about bad language on the their timeline, my assumption is this is in relation to the Shawcross post from yesterday, and sure enough all the comments turned to that post again. SLP repeated defence in reply to everyone was ‘as we said in the post we just posted what we were told’. Now it looks like all that has now been deleted from their FB too.
SLP can’t cover up what a massive own goal this is. Man up, apologise and everyone moves on.
Are there any SLP members on here?
Have SLP let this top 10 most influential fans rubbish in the Sentinel last week go to their heads?

Taking responsibility for what you publish as a, ahem, news outlet, isn't just a matter of morality but of law. The old 'allegedly' manoeuvre hasn't cut it for a long time. Ever likely they've gone to ground.

Absolutely disgraceful from them. Even more so in that they haven't apologised, or commented regarding the shit they posted on here or there (according to comments on here) since.
We can't wait until you are free from pain and playing for us again Ryan. I have had back pain and problems in the past myself and I fully understand and can't even imagine playing with similar. Recuperate and return to your best when you can and we ARE all with you despite some forgetting that they are.

The fact there's no apology and they've since deleted every post I mentioned it on is a disgrace.
We don't post shite rumours like this, and it was about time they were found out. Imagine what their magazine is going to be full of!

Imagine what their magazine is going to be full of! I commented on your fair post this morning. Saw that they were sticking to the "its true so no apology needed" stance. I mentioned that that missed the point completely and that it still shouldnt have been posted. It was speculation on someones health...their mental health. That it could be damaging for the player and a minefield for the press...for rivals...as well as embarrassment and anger on our club captain trying to get fit. Guess what??....Post deleted

SL&P are an absolute bunch of cretins. They've only supported the club since 2008, they were never around in the Championship etc.
There was absolutely no need for this post bar the pathetic want of 'likes'

I've just posted this on their page - let's see if it gets deleted.
"Can I ask if SL&P have any plans to apologise to Ryan Shawcross and his family for posting allegations about his mental state which, if true, would be a serious breach of patient confidentiality? I can't see any way out of this other than a public apology - to the fans and the club as well as to the Shawcross family."
