He'll have to learn to be content with his new role or move elsewhere because I really can't see him starting in a healthy side

If SJW goes then we're going to be seriously lacking in fire-power up front. I for one am greatly concerned by these comments.

Great news. Fuck him off. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy Chumslopper using proboards Yeah, because players who want to play and have self belief have no value. He proved at the end of the season he still has a lot to offer.

Please stay Mr Walters. You warmed Ireland's bench for 72 minutes against Turkey on Sunday and then came on to score a cracking goal.

I think that the team would miss him, realistically he will probably spend more time on the bench.
He has a point to prove, established himself in the first team a few years ago and like any player in our squad, should be setting out to give MH some difficult decisions to make re team selection.
I hope that he stays with us

He proved at the end of the season he still has a lot to offer. I didn't say he's not worth anything. I do however think this is a perfect oppurtunity to fuck off a "forward" who misses far more chances than he finishes.

Jon Walters suddenly becomes billy big bollocks. He'll be saying he wants Champions League football next.
He can go as far as I'm concerned.

Sincere thanks for everything you have done, good luck with your new club, you will be remembered with affection. He will struggle to be a first team starting choice as we have moved on and sadly so must he. Admire his spirit.

That's fine, íf he wants to play in the Championship
There is only Crystal Palace who would be remotely interested in him as a regular, so sounds like they have been sniffing around already.

Didn't Gudietti get lambasted by quite a few fans for saying the same thing? Surely you can see that it's not the same thing Adam? Guidetti turned up after a long absence, grossly unfit and expecting to start immediately. Walters, rightly or wrongly, has been a fixture in the team for years. Of course he wants to be playing. There would be something wrong if he didn't? That said, we can't guarantee him first team football, nor should we, so if that's going to be a problem then he'll probably have to move on.

Sorry John but you are very lucky to be playing in the prem, you are a very average player, in fact you would only make the starting 11 in the promoted sides to add experience. Get used to coming off the bench where you can do a job or back to the championship.

Looks like you will have to address the situation then Jon. I can't see you starting next season, that said I'm sure many of us will be happy with you coming on around 75 mins. H

"In the last eight weeks of the season I didn't play much, but I'm not a player who wants to be sitting on the bench. "On the last day (at West Brom) I played in my favoured position (as a central striker), so we will see come next season. "I'm a player who wants to be playing, and if I'm not we will have to address that situation." Just for balance a few other quotes!! Walters added: "I'm sure we will sign new players in the summer as well and hopefully we can improve on what we've done over the past year. "We've got our highest league position and highest points total, and hopefully we can push on from this. "We are not happy with staying ninth. We are a team that wants to keep progressing and bettering ourselves next year. "It was a good season. It was difficult in some stages, but as we've set out we've achieved our targets and it's enjoyable when you do that. "Every manager is different, and that was the case this season. We showed it towards the end of the year in the way we kept possession. I wondered how long it would take for someone to start another SJW thread after seeing the Sentinel this morning....
