Tone, you will forever be written into the history of Stoke City Football Club.
For all your work, commitment and passion I thank you. I will never forget the FA Cup Semi Final - a truly majestic day that almost eclipsed Wembley 72.
For the highs and lows - we've all been in it together. That's football but ultimately all things come to an end.
For whatever the future holds - the time is right that it ends now. Thanks for everything and good luck in your next challenge.

Thank you Tone. You made us proud again and took us on some wonderful journeys.
I will take the memories you have given me to my grave.
Always remembered as a Stoke legend
You did what you planned to do......make us an established Top flight club
You got the Brit rocking and turned it into a bear-pit
Away Teams and supporters dreaded coming here, and I loved that
All the best at your next club

*this very much posted in the face of lots of rumour, but they tend to be true if so widespread Dear Tony I would like to thank you for your time at Stoke City FC, and the journey you have taken me on for the past 6-7 years For many, the prospect of Stoke City ever playing again in the top flight was mere fantasy after so long away, but you got us there with a miracle effort in 2007-8 (backed by the chairman it must be said), and by hook or by crook kept us there with some fantastic memories in that first season. The Villa game and Mamas winner will stay with me forever After that we have been a safe mid table club, 2 Wembley appearances (the first of which was OUR final to be honest), and one of my finest and proudest moments as a Stoke fan, and even losing the final allowed the red and white army there to FINALLY sing Abide With Me and represent the area, alas the injury ravaged team couldnt get over the line I saw my team take on some of Europes glamour clubs (in competitive football!), something else I never thought I would see unless the Anglo Italian cup came back! Its not gone so well since, despite keeping us there, and the winds of change are around - you go with my full thanks and gratitude for what you achieved here, and I wish you well whatever you decide to do next. Hopefully Stoke on Trent will always have a place for you Simon. 100% agree Like many I am a little sad that TP has gone but realised that we had to change. The 40 points mantra, ignoring the quality of football, could not be sustained for much longer Thanks for getting us to this point Tone and now let's hope that the right man is picked to take up the baton Sincere best wishes for the future

I never thought I would ever follow my team to an FA cup final. I never thought I would see my team play in Europe, in my lifetime. Watching my team walk out in that cauldron in Istanbul. Priceless. Thanks, TP.

Thanks for everything Tony.
The way you handled the team and conducted yourself in the first three seasons after promotion were more than enough to have any Stoke supporter bursting with pride. I sincerely hope that the honest, hard-but-fair approach that has always been at the centre of our philosophy under you remains at the core of the next manager's philosophy. It was genuinely wonderful that in that time we were a shining beacon of hope and honesty in the Premier League cesspit. It's a shame that as time went on, that slowly faded away as we lost so much of our character as a club.
Thank you, in the most sincere possible way, for not just helping to put our club back where it belongs, but for making history. I will never forget stuffing Arsenal in the cup to vanquish the lingering memory of the consecutive cup defeats in the 70s, nor the genuine victory for football that we witnessed when we humiliated Arsenal in the league the following year. Then there's promotion with the Coventry and Leicester games, Wembley against Bolton, beating Blackburn to stay up, the win against Man City after Delap's sending off, the performance against Man City with ten men in the following year, the Mama/Fuller axis and so many other things.
The pick of them has to be the home game against Villa in the 2010/11 season. When you emerged from the tunnel for the second half in that game, so far as I was concerned you were one of us.
