Good luck to TP where ever he ends up.
His name is writ large in the history of our club and he will always be welcomed back as far as I'm concerned.

Thanks TP! It's such a shame the rise in achievements plateaued a while ago and TP couldn't make it better again.
I guess at least we'll find out who/what was to blame for the even longer than normal post-Christmas slump. I'm genuinely nervous about what's to come...

From midweek defeats at Southend and getting beat at telford l to FA cup finals European football and scaring the shit out of premiership elite. Lets just hope all you lot who wanted blood remember where we came from and more importantly will you be there when (if) we go back to those dark days . I am very worried

Thankyou Tony - some amazing memories.
You are legend here and will always be welcome back as far as I am concerned.
Good luck wherever you go; although managers of your calibre dont need luck.
You did an amazing job for our club and leave us in the healthiest state we have ever been in.
Thanks for your hard work, although it has to be said, most of it done without appreciation and in the face of adversity.
Thankyou, Thankyou, Thankyou

Despite despairing of his football and him being the cause of me not renewing, I'm genuinely feeling a bit sad. He has done a great job, there are far worse managers and I thank him for giving me the best 6 years of my footballing life. Thank you Tony

good luck pulis.
i'm sure you'll do a very good job for someone else. unfortunately your relationship with stoke ran its course, this is best for all concerned.
but there is no doubting your massive achievement in getting stoke promoted and then ensuring safety the season afterwards

It's gonna be bizzare not seeing your chavvy style in the technical area throwing your water bottle at Kenwyne's head when Huth misses another free header from 6 yards out .. all the best TP, will always be grateful for the opportunity you've given me to watch Stoke City in the biggest and arguably best league in the world and for the most special day of my Stoke supporting life beating Bolton at Wembley 5-0.. it was just perfect and couldn't get any better

Tony, I don't doubt you love Stoke City. You've been good to us even though sometimes it hasn't been pretty. We've been good to you as you leave with your golden handshake, your millions in the bank, your nice home in Sandbanks. I expect you'll get another job if you want it, managerial or media based.
However it was getting very stale. Same tactics, same personnel, same bullshit to the media (I wonder if you and Kempy had a bet going with that one). Yep, it was time to go, and even though some doom and gloom merchants think that's the end of Stoke City's Premier League adventure, I totally disagree. We have a great chairman, stadium, facilities, finances, supporters, and oh yes, some very good football players.
So enjoy what you've got, whilst its time for us Stokies to close the chapter on the Tony Pulis era, look to the future, and give our new manager our support and the chance to prove himself. I cant f***ing wait.

All the balls are in the air now.
Big thanks to Tony.
Keeping Stoke up in our first season in the Prem was his greatest achievement . (many thought we would do a Derby and some bookmakers paid out on Stoke getting relegated after one match)
FA cup runs , Europa league (will we ever see the same again)
Football never stands still
We'll be with you
Always welcome back, but time for a change.

Someone starting a thread the other day asking how you would describe Pulis in one word. I didn't have time to log on and reply at the time but...
For keeping us up all those years ago
For winning us promotion
For keeping us in the Prem comfortably after everyone had written us off
For getting us to our first every FA Cup Final with a 5-0 victory over Owen Coyle's media darlings
For signing Ricardo Fuller and Ryan Shawcross
For grinding out those 6 points a few weeks back when I thought you had completely lost the plot
Above all for turning up at half-time in that Villa game... will never forget that
If I had to describe Tony Pulis is one word?
LEGEND

Mr Tony Pulis:
Thank you.
Thank you for the promotion winning season - it was amazing from start to finish and still makes my hairs stand on end when thinking of certain games, ie, Coventry!
Thank you for the first season in the prem, every single home game was a great party atmosphere (although my liver wasn't too happy!) it was truly fantastic to be part of it.
Thank you for the FA Cup semi final and final. What an amazing 2 days they were, I never thought I'd ever see it, but you took us there. My greatest and proudest moments as a Stokie.
Thank you for our amazing European adventure, I had to pinch myself to stop from thinking it was all a dream.
Thank you for the Aston Villa game when, after all that you had been through, came back to lead the team to a dramatic victory, it was like nothing I think I've witnessed at Stoke before, truly awe inspiring.
Thank you for everything TP. Good luck with future endeavours and I will be keeping a close eye on whichever team you manage next.
There'll always be a place in Stoke for you.
PS - can we keep Mama, he's almost part of the furniture...!

Tony thanks for giving us back our dignity and self-respect after 23 years of being away. The perfect answer to the piss-taking from the local glory hunters in all that time. Thanks for confounding the so-called experts and "purists season after season by keeping us in the Premiership to become an established side. Thanks for building a team that in your own words reflected the honesty, spirit and hard work of the people from our city. Thanks for giving me 2 of the 3 greatest days as a Stoke fan - Wembley F.A cup semi-final and the day we were promoted to the Premiership ( other being League Cup Final). Thanks for filling the Brit game after game and for 3 magical seasons being part of the incredible atmosphere that visibly intimidated "better' teams. Thanks for the European adventure and giving Stoke fans of my generation the experience we thought would never see again. Thanks for giving us the chance to hear ex pros and pundits praising us and giving us credit for playing to our strengths. Thanks for the memories and more importantly the chance to look forward yet again for the roller coaster ride in one of the world's toughest leagues. THANKS, goodbye and good luck Tony.

When Tony arrived for his second spell asour manager, he had 3 targets 1 To gain promotion to the Premier League. 2 To establish the club by staying in the Premier league for 3 seasons 3.To "push on" after year 3.
I thought at the time that was a very tall order ,but not only did he achieve the 1st two targets, he also took us to our 1st ever cup final and a European adventure that culminated in that never to be forgotten day in Valencia, sadly he never managed to "Push on" and that ultimately was his downfall .
As others have said there can be no doubt that Tony did his very best for our club , and I would particularly like to thank him for his integrity and his insistance that his players were honest and full of commitment even if some did not have the ability of other teams, you rarely saw a Stoke player play acting/feign injury , which is a cancer in the modern game.
Thank you Tony for everything. Best wishes for the future.

I could never warm to the guy personally and his constant bigging up of every opponent no matter how mediocre really got on my tits.
But credit to TP for taking a unfashionable championship club into the Premierhsip and keeping us there for 5 years.
Best of luck for the future TP.

Thanks for what TP has done by delivering top flight football for the past few years. I wonder if he does have any regrets......surely someone, somewhere must have given him the heads up about his stubbornness and regression of style to the point where even he could see he had to change things. If not he has been let down by those around him(but if he surrounds himself with yes men then little sympathy) or he was told but chose to ignore it which could suggest tremendous resolve or an inability to change. Just think if he could have changed he would still be in a job with Stoke for some time to come.

Such a sad day for Stoke. These have been the best years we could have hoped for and I am deeply saddened that Tony Pulis has left. Let us not forget the multitude of incredible times we have had these past 7 years and remember that there are NO GUARANTEES in football. Pulis was about as close as we could get to one. I don't buy in to the entertainment argument as I have been more entertained these past 7 years overall than I have for the previous 30 that I watched stoke. I think we have had a challenging season, but we have survived. Tony Pulis has shown so many times that he could bounce back and I felt sure he would make the changes necessary for us to move to the next level. I hope this decision does not backfire on us. We are not a big club, we have no right to anything. WE ARE OVERACHIEVING. There will be a lot of clubs queuing up for TP because he is a proven winner. I will miss the never say die spirit, the organization of the team and incredible work ethic we have enjoyed. I hope we can bring in the right team to take us forward but I fear the worst. Thank you Tony Pulis and good luck Sir! You should always be given a Hero's welcome back in the potteries!
