Will never forget when he turned up at half time at the Villa game on the day his mum dies, don't think we'll ever see that commitment again.
Pulis speaking after the game:
"Stoke City is my passion and my love, and so I'm sure my mum would've wanted me to be at the game"
Surely has to be a tribute to him at the start of next season.

As a kid I first started watching Stoke in 84/85 and then witnessed the Holocaust season, followed by the likes of Ball, Kamara, Little etc. including the club's lowest ever league finish under the squeaky voiced one.
It was drilled into me that the current crop of players weren't fit to lace the boots of the great players of the 1970s, and we were reminded of this constantly by the likes of Alan Hudson's Sentinel column. They, after all, had beaten some of the top teams, climbed the league table, had cup exploits and achieved European campaigns. No current Stoke team would ever achieve that...
...or not until Tony Pulis's reign anyway.
Thanks for the memories, Tony.

Thanks TP, I genuinely hope that it was by mutual consent. Respect to you and Coatesy.
Thanks for getting us up and keeping us up but since our European trips it has become apparent that the time to move on had arrived.

At last we can move on whether it was going to be with TP or not. NOW and only NOW can we speculate who should follow him. Personnally Martin O'Neill for me, then Mark Hughes. I do not think Roberto Di Mateo is the man for the job but what do I know - I thought PC would give TP one more season to change the style

Not logged on here for years but always like to read! Great memories for me apart from the past 5 months, especially getting promoted and the 5-0 at Wembley, that was a surreal dream that day. Good luck Pulis! Let's hope change is good.

I never liked the bloke but never called for him to be got rid of even though I hoped he would resign, but I do thank him for what he did for stoke city. But he realy brought it on himself with his tactics and playing favourites and square pegs. Hope for the best for him.

As a 55 year old he has given me some of the best days supporting Stoke since I was a teenager, and also given my 29 year old son some pride in saying he supports Stoke after all the grief he was given growing up in the South East.
Having said that, something has clearly not been right for the last few months and he seemed to have lost his way for some reason. No doubt these reasons will come out in the fullness of time.
Thanks Tone for the good memories, but I feel the timing is right for a change.

It really feels like it's time for a change but now it's come (apparently), like others have said, it feels weird. Like ending a relationship that had grown stale but you still find the idea of life without the other person a but scary.
Seven years of great progress and, overall, success is pretty rare indeed these days. I think many would agree that a large part of the success was down to motivating slightly below-par players into believing in themselves and in the team. That appears to have deserted him and now we're left with just a bunch of - let's be honest - largely below-par players. Who on the short list of replacements is likely to get the same out of them as TP once did?
So I think it's going to be big time change ahead of next season and I confess to a twinge of sadness that there's a chance of us becoming just another mediocre mid-table Prem team with no USP. But don't get me wrong - I'd take that over relegation!
Thank you Tony.
Good luck to the next bloke, whoever it is. History suggests that PC should go with someone called Tony...

Thanks, Tony for the fantastic years. For three decades I've been living with my boyhood dreams of us playing in the top league and in Europe again.
You've gone at the right time too as the new man will have plenty of time to bed in.

Thanks to TP for everything he's achieved in getting us to the Prem and keeping us there and also for the FA cup final. Similarly thank you for recognising that you have taken us as far as you could and that, to progress, change was necessary. My very best wishes to you for the future.

I thank you sincerely Mr Pulis for re-igniting the Potteries Passion in its football team and taking us to Wembley and all points Europe. What a great shame that you could not then move onward and upward in terms of selections and tactics. But I am grateful for your efforts to do so and wish you well in your next venture.

Thanks to Mr Coates and Mr Pulis I was able to convince my son to support the mighty potters, as an exile that would have been impossible had we not got into the Premier league.
To sing Abide with Me at Wembley with my son next to me whilst my Dad was on his death bed back home will forever make me grateful.
I always dreamed of following Stoke in Europe again thank you.
I hope to God that there is a good plan in place you will be a tough act to follow.
Good Luck and thank you Mr Pulis.
