Clearly something is in the pieline as his latest tweet is:
"Sadly not playing again tonight. It frustrating when u just wanna play football but the situation makes it a bit complicated at the moment."

Looking more and more like he's off.
Is Nash reliable enough to be No.2 keeper?

Disappointing but totally understandable.
Tommy is a top, top keeper and maybe we were deluding ourselves to think he'd see out the rest of his career (ala Ed de Goey) simply warming the bench.

Tbh I don't blame Tommy he wants to play football at this time in his career maybe he will be off to a team with first team opportunities , at a guess I say West Brom bound

Looking more and more like he's off. Is Nash reliable enough to be No.2 keeper? I don't think he is and more importantly I don't think TP thinks so either. Add another new arrival to the increasingly long and difficult list. Is Tommy's frustration caused by TS not being here to finalise the deal?

presume either it's a new deal for him or he leaves? Does his current 'large appearance fee' include friendlies? or maybe a percentage of such fee for a friendly? SCFC may well have offered him a new higher basic wage, lower app fee contract, but could well be reluctant to play him - and therefore pay an appearance fee, if TS still hasn't made up his mind. If TS could be off, then Nash needs all the warm-up games he can get, after very little football last season.

Well we aren't going to get anyone as good (or experienced) as Tommy so I guess we may as well look at a prospect? Nash's presence at least gives us an older head in the ranks.

I suppose money could talk in the end - but you can't even see the likes of 'prospects' like Smithies or Lewis at Pboro being turned on at the prospect of being a semi-permanent bench warmer behind a highly-rated 24-year-old on a long-term deal, when they've got the option of regular action elsewhere?

Should of kept Parton...
Joe Lewis, Alex Smithies both young and would fancy a crack at the Prem?

I guess not although perhaps the lure of the Premier League and the potential to get a game and make some headlines is appealing? No experienced keepers are jumping out at me................ Unless we go back in for Jamo!

Looks like the end for sorro, itll be a sad day when he moves on. Im hoping that its all part of Tonys masterplan and 'pushing on'. We would need another keeper, i dont think Beggo and Nash would be enough.

Pulis says in today's sentinel that Tommy has a lower back problem and it may cause problems kicking the ball
But goalkeeper Thomas Sorensen could be an exception after missing all three friendlies to date.
"He's been a bit sore around the bottom of his back," Pulis explained, "so we will have to see with Thomas. He's been training OK, but kicking the ball might be a problem."

I'd hate to see Tommy go to another premiership side. If we do sell him on, I hope he goes to some big european club. I'd rather sell Begovic, as we can get som serious cash for him. He's not going to stay at Stoke forever anyway, som use him as part of a deal to get a good player off spurs or chelsea instead.

Do we have any decent academy prospects on GKs? TP is pretty good at finding the right ones for our needs but how long can he keep it up?
I hate us to be like the arsenal with their fabianskis and almunias

Blimey, if he goes then we need another keeper. At the start of the summer i said, and still stand by my opinion that we need 10 new players for all of the competitions we shall be in in the 11/12 season. We've signed Woodgate, and may be losing Thomas, and then it'll be back up to 10 needed. Dash it all! Oh, and part of my "sign 10 players" was also so give the elbow to Davies, Soares, Diao, Tonge, Collins and Pugh. I knew Pugh & Collins would stay, but i'm increasingly concerned that the other 4 puddings are also staying, by 'eck!

These sell Bego posts are a wind up right? Is it common for fans of other teams to actively encourage the sale of one of their best players or is it just Stoke fans?
