A list, in no particular order, Ellis, dyer, Bamber, Stewart, Lightbourne, Dadason, Bangoura [he was never there] Mcmahon [makeshift], Jonh Gayle??, anyone else? Bangoura is officially excluded from any of these "worst" discussions, because he had a good arse. You mean Oulare, shirley? unless...

Talk of Gifton, Sidibe or even Kyle on this list are ridiculous! We are talking THE worst striker, not mediocre strikers who never quite did it for us.
Worst as in couldn't hit a cow's arse with a banjo, worst as in looked totally disinterested when playing for Stoke City, worst as in had a terrible attitude, worst as in cost us a decent amount of money and proved very quickly that we had been completely ripped off. Those 3 each fail on one or two counts.

The only good thing about Scott was that we managed to swap him for Sheron

No shouts for Chris Greenacre yet? Not the worst but worthy of a mention.
This question is always quite difficult because for me it has to be someone who was given a good run in the side and was consistently shit over at least the bulk of a season. Hence players like Xausa, O'Neill Donaldson and even Gabbiadini don't count for me.
In my time, for sheer take-the-piss levels of apathy and lack of any effort at all, I'd go for Paul Stewart.

The clue is in the questi... oh forget it.

sometimes good strikers dont score many because the service is non-existant
sometimes bad strikers score a few because the service is very good
1989 Mills is finally given some decent money to spend,a whopping £1m
we start the season with expectations raised & the pressure on as the Vale have come up.
Beagrie & Hackett supply cross after cross after cross for the fucking huge Dave Bamber he goes onto miss more free headers than an absentee owner of a brothel.
instead of a rip roaring start courtesy of big Dave we draw 7 ot the 1st 8 or 9 games we get done for 6 at Swi nddon when Bamber finally does head one in....to his own net & Mills has to go & the rest is history.
I sincerley believe that even with an average striker, like say Andy Cooke,we would have scored many more gols in those few games & we would have won most of them & we could have been on for promotion.
Bambers sheer shytneness along with (& he was quick then!) Cransons injury fucked us over .
I'm too young for Tudor but Scott,Pericard awful though they were have no match for Bamber imho not only the worst striker but the worst outfield player (& I've see Paul Dyson) to play for Stoke in the last 30 years

his ball control is zero I think--but if he would play as pay per goal then i would continue to keep him--otherwise bye

It has to be tuncay--costs loads to buy--costs loads to keep-- scores nil Cost less, and Scored more than Dave Kiston, which by your logic, makes Kitson worse

Yes fair play, i had forgotten kitson, but i saw him score for portsmouth a few days ago and he looked to do what he does--thats score from some one eles's work. at stoke no one gave him the opportunity to do the little work he does well. i may well be wrong of course, as i have not pulled on a shirt for several years

I'm too young for Tudor but Scott,Pericard awful though they were have no match for Bamber imho not only the worst striker but the worst outfield player (& I've see Paul Dyson) to play for Stoke in the last 30 years Jeez....Dave Bamber.....unfortunately one of the first strikers I saw 'live' at the Vic. The folk who I went with back then had the (quite correct) view that all of the forwards we had back then i.e. 1988ish were shite. I was new to all this, and have always been an optimist but quite quickly I realised that he was possibly the biggest donkey on the football pitch at any time. I cannot remember who we were playing (although I half think it may have been Hull) but straight from the kick off someone (maybe Gary Hackett) took the ball, layed it through to Bambi who, to the sheer surprise of everyone, skipped round a challenge and went clean through on goal. 10 yards out, keeper to beat, most strikers like to go far post; maybe near if confident with a deft flick over the advancing keeper or a shimmy round him if he advanced. Our Dave? no, with a big hoof he smacked it as damn hard as he could.....against the bar...and it rebounded out about 40 bloody yards when it was way easier to score. There made a legend in my eyes, one I wish I could seriously forget. Utter shit. (Sorry Dave if you read this )

This is the easiest question ever.
The answer, of course is; Des Backos.
Even Pottermus was better than him!
