John Tudor's first goal for us, was simply sensational Waddo ... one of the best headers ever scored at the Vic! Shame it didn't last though ... ;D

Too right mate. I was there! Didn't he get two that day or is my memory playing tricks? What I do know is he never scored for us again!!! Diving header from the edge of the box against Ipswich ... he scored two on his debut. I remember saying to my dad that he was miles better than I was expecting and he replied ... "trust me he's shit son - you'll soon see." Not often wrong my dad! ;D

David Herd was crap for us too. I remember him missing about a dozen sitters v Ipswich.
Remember that, Tazi? I'm sure you do. ;D ;D ;D ;D

I know you like to be controversial Waddo but are you seriously suggesting OCallaghan as part of this thread??? Incidentally Ian Moores record (in the top flight) was no worse that Peschisolidos in the lower flight.

Not at all mate. He was good in Div 2 but a flop in Div 1. As for Moores, I always thought he was rubbish myself. The thing is, we created so many chances in those days he couldn't help but score a few. Neither was the worst we've had though by a long chalk. Just thought I'd put a few old names out there for debate.
Herd is an interesting one. Record scorer for Man U. Useless for us. Seem to remember Vernon was similar...

Indeed, Herd was perhaps not one of Waddo's finest moments at Manager. We all know he liked to sign seasoned pro's but i think Herd was 34 when he signed for us and perhaps never recovered from an injury at Manure As for Vernon, he was only 28 but as you say didnt pull up trees In the grand scheme of things Waddo could be forgiven for the odd poor signing I suppose. I remember seeing both play but I was too young to remember much about them Incidentally dont forget Michael Ricketts

mALFUNCITON.132 This is fUn. Pericard or Scott. Well, they are my two most hated anyway. The rest were just shit in a "that's a shame" sort of way.

Gary Bannister, Davide Xausa, O'Neill Donaldson, Billy Whitehurst, Iain Allinson, John Tudor, even Tony Ellis, Marco Gabbiadini and Paul Randall........all worthy of mention.
My own vote has gotta be Vincent Pericard, closely followed by Keith Scott. No one else has come remotely near making me so exasperated, even downright angry, at their lacklustre, faint-hearted, verging on the truly pathetic performances as alleged "strikers" in the red and white.

Glad to see Big Kyle didn't make the shortlist... Stillborn for me too. I think we would have done better if we'd just planted a pole in the ground on the edge of the penalty box and tried crossing to it.
