It is a good move for him but 2nd choice there is beyond his capabilities for sure. Heaton is a much better option though. Could we get Heaton out of Man United? He'd be perfect for us. Only caveat to that being he had 2 bad injuries at Villa and has barely played since major shoulder surgery. He could be more Neville Southall than Thomas Sorensen but he might want to get a last few years playing having not featured for a while. If he's fully fit and physically able, Heaton could be a perfect short term addition.

The only club he can play for this season, I think, is Blackpool Similar situation to the forward we had on loan from Brighton. I've forgotten his name already. Sima

Could we swap him for Dominic Iorfa? He's rumoured to be going to Blackpool. Good player. Was talking to some Sheff Wed fans about him before their recent game at Accrington as I was surprised he was still there. Apparently he has a lucrative contract as Wednesday but the guys I spoke to felt that he played within himself a bit to much. He was superb against us v Wolves in the cup game a while back and every time I’ve seen him he’s been great. After Bannan, he was best player on pitch v Accrington and to be fair, he did absolutely stroll through the game and looked very much like he was playing within himself. I’m surprised he’s playing at that level.

Personally think that we should be looking at someone like Bowler. We need a player or two with ability to beat a man. He’s impressed whenever I’ve seen him. The only club he can play for this season, I think, is Blackpool

Boro will be hard to stop if Cameron Archer goes there. And if you are Villa you’ll send a young player to Carrick before Neil every day of week wouldn’t you?

Bonham, finally, made a very good save but the goal came from his inability to deal with a simple back pass under zero pressure. Same for the Burnley game too, he hesitated and didn't collect the ball when Souttar attempted to let it through. Moments later, we're 1 down. Yep. Bang on

I will get slated for this but from where I was sitting the only people who can look a fan in the eye today about their performances are Clarke, Bonham, Thompson, Smallbone (I know nobody likes him but he was the only player running into space, note the throw ins where the throw was aimless and he ended up running to the ball and the link up play with Powell) Powell, Laurent and Souttar. Bonham, finally, made a very good save but the goal came from his inability to deal with a simple back pass under zero pressure.

You an inner or an outer? 😂 It’s utter garbage what he’s serving up mate, and what’s worse he doesn’t seem to acknowledge there’s too much of a problem other than a bit of bad luck. There is nothing about him that you can get behind other than what he’s managed to do at other clubs. That said I guess he’s got to be given this season but I don’t have much confidence that he’s going to reshape the team significantly for the better this window. I can’t recall so much of the fanbase being so against a manager so quickly apart from maybe Nathan Jones and I think even he had more support at the same stage. BM Welcome aboard. Until today, I was convinced I was on my own

Kav was better than any midfielder we have now. Larus was better than any centre half we have now as was Justin Whittle probably Thorney was better than any centre forward we have now. I agree, but they all sunk in the second half of the season including these players and there wasn't enough fight throughout the squad. Thorne in particular really hid in the second half of the season and his form fell off the cliff after a good start to the season. Indeed. Remind you of anything?

I didn’t mention those players though, I was talking about the all time dreadful players? Nyamah, Holsgrove, Donaldson, Lightbourne, Andrade, McMahon etc. I’d take Kyle Lightbourne over Jacob Brown every day of the week. You didn’t say who I could choose from the 97 team as being better than what we have now.

Morgan Fox is not a better centre half than Steven Tweed and that’s just for starters It’s tallest dwarves but I think he is. Keep going, if that’s just for starters? There are some all time Stoke City House of Horror names connected to the 97/98 side. Legendarily bad ones. I don’t see anyone in this squad to compare to an O’Neill Donaldson or a Steven Tweed. Morgan Fox is not a better centre half than Steven Tweed and that’s just for starters

Ty did some good things and was absolutely not deserving of the ironic cheers that greeted his departure. Singling him out above all others is just strange Just out of interest, what were the good things he did? Until Powell came on he was the only player to offer any link up play. Dropped in and played nice balls into both wide players who subsequently Ballsed up, got the ball in the channels and set up play for Smallbone/Baker and at least looked to move around. In one passage of play I pointed out 3 runs he made for Brown who proceeded to not see him and give the ball away. Pointed the runs out and counted them for the bloke behind who slaughters him every week and even he was inclined to agree. Not saying he played well but he didn’t play bad enough to warrant the ironic cheers he got whilst the others escaped scott free. Thompson snd Souttar even got applause from sentinel stand at the end of the game. Idiots!

Yeah I heard them. Idiots to a man. No ironic cheers for Brown? Laughable. Tyrese Campbell is the least of our worries. There are 9 others who should come under fire before him + an idiot manager and his coaching staff No but there were boos when he was fetched off Presumably because they wanted him to stay on? Why? He didn’t run around, his touch was woeful, he missed the easiest chance of the game, he was born offside and he made Liam fucking Lyndsay look like Beckenbeur. Brown isn’t a footballer. He’s absolutely useless and after improvement last season he’s worse now then when he arrived. Tymon? Seriously? Absolutely useless. My 14 year old plays same position for Blackpool. He’s better than Tymon now and am not even joking. Baker and Thompson? Wow. Wilmott, Fox? There are no words for how shit those 4 were yet we are at the point of ironically cheering Tyrese Campbell. The manager. The less said about that clown the better yet you come here and all you can do is criticise Tyrese Campbell.

Brown was lucky he lasted as long as he did It was a toss up between him and the bone idle fucker up front with him and it seemed like the majority of the crowd thought the same judging by the reaction to both substitutions Ty did some good things and was absolutely not deserving of the ironic cheers that greeted his departure. Singling him out above all others is just strange

He’s done absolutely nothing. We paid a fortune to get him, we pay him a fortune to manage us and he’s absolutely hopeless. Listen to what Clive Clarke said post match. For those not able to listen Dave, what did he say? He tried his best to not reveal his true feelings and to blurt out what others in football feel about him but bemoaned the lack of creativity and ability to think outside the box when recruiting players and managers. Said he’s Jon’s man and we have to hope he’s got it right. Repeatedly said “time will tell” and “we have to hope”. Spoke of Ricky Martin being an unknown quantity, DOF from being an under age coach at West Ham

Powell is the only one prepared to be brave, to take the ball in tight situations and to play positively irrespective of how anxious the crowd are.
He can’t get in this team

He’s a great young manager who has already been promoted from the championship before. End of. Imagine talking shit about your own manager already, could only happen at Stoke. Young? He’s 42 and been a manager for about 12 years already.

I’m all for giving him a fair chance. Hopefully he’ll start to show something, anything, to give us a glimmer of hope soon. I’ve seen absolutely nothing yet. I see Rotherham are losing again…the one team where Neil gave an example of us playing well despite winning neither game against them 🤷♂️ To be fair, we should have won both of those games easily. If my aunty had bollocks she’d be my uncle
