It all depends how you define "winning". There's no doubt that he will get the most votes this evening, however it's all about by how much? Camilla Tominey has just said (and when it comes to the workings of the Tory party she usually knows her onions) that he's going to need a majority of 80 to be safe in the coming weeks. in the past 'how much' was a vital question not for Boris, if he wins by 1 vote he will not resign Peak Tory Party if he wins by 1 vote and it's 359 MPs

How is he supposed to know what's going on in his own house? Fucking hell you actually typed that out no 10 is a massive office complex with hundreds of offices and has a small flat in one part, PM's for many years have lived in the bigger flat in No 11 but yeah its his house.... I know it's massive, he told us the square footage of it. It's his gaff, he's in charge, he should go.

You know the clown is in trouble when the best he's got is 'Vladamir Corbyn' in a response on the cost of living at PMQ's. A total shambles of a human being. He wasn't wrong though, Corbyn is a disgrace. Not one politician in any of the parties is worthy of running the country. Boris to me is the best of a bad bunch, albeit a bad one! You honestly don't think there's anyone who could do a better job? Really?

It's not just new cars, it's parts as well. My dad crashed his VW and they've advised him it'll be a write off as they can't source the parts for it due to Covid
They're paying him £1800 more than he paid for the car 14 months ago.

2 years ago I bought two tkts for Rammstein in Cardiff. The gig was deferred due to Covid and has been re-scheduled for the end of June. The tickets are at the front in the "Fire Zone". I have just been notified that the tkts will be posted to me in the next few weeks. Unfortunately, I will not be in the UK in June so I am looking to sell these tkts at face value. Where is the best place to sell them? Bear in mind that I will not be listing them for sale until the tkts have arrived at the address in S-o-T and are in my hands so to speak. One thing I did notice is that hotel prices in Cardiff are ridiculous for that night with very few rooms available. I was looking at staying in Newport and getting the train in. Sell em on Twickets if you can't get your money back.

That does sound good. Saw Alan Partridge's Strategem show in Brum last night, does that count as a gig? Like all 30min comedy programmes that get extended to film or show length it's difficult to keep as consistently funny, but it was worth seeing. Some classic Partridge moments as always including a reference to the UK as a woman, the midlands being her stomach with "difficult to digest Stoke", one of numerous Stoke references he's made over the years I'm off to see that at the Manc arena in a couple of weeks, managed to drop on seats in the front block for 22 quid each. Looking forward to it Solid 7/10 last night. Having great seats definitely helped. The Martin Brennan bit was the highlight. I'm out for a meal in Manc later, might see if I can get a cheap ticket for the Oh Sees after.

Not remotely local, but ftom what I can recall of the 'what are you listening to....' thread they have quite a few fans on here, and it seems like a fabulous setting for their gorgeous harmonies (especially if the weather's good,) so... www.thepiecehall.co.uk/event/first-aid-kit/I'm going to that. Great band.

Considering we can finish the lofty heights of 10th, which is an improvement on the previous 2 seasons, that is a very odd team

I too wish him well but if you read his autobiography I don’t think you’d be quite so non judgemental or understanding. The example I’d like to give is him taking a dump in the bed pillow of Arsenal keeper Seaman’s hotel bed and then finding the aftermath hilarious?? Honestly, no wonder the general public (partic. non footy fans) think of footballers as pampered and privileged? And by association we footy fans then get seen as just as moronic for saluting and applauding the guys who display such behaviour. The swagger, the we’re better than you, the attitude towards fans etc etc One thing the FA/Prem League should do is insist all players live within 30 minutes of their training ground so e.g. the Stoke squad would live Trentham, Clayton, Stone, Eccleshall, Baldwins Gate etc (like they used to) instead of bloody Wilmslow and Alderley Edge. This would mean they were more approachable and more connected to the community which pays them shed loads of cash? I've heard some nonsense in my time, that is up there near the top.

Northwich seems local enough. Not a band I thought I'd ever get to see, a little-known Dutch shoegaze/dream pop band called Meadowlake (who sound a like Beach House but better IMO, and maybe Slowdive-esque too). 15th May (afternoon gig I think) - Meadowlake - Salty Dog, Northwich Love an afternoon gig.

Granddaddy last night at the Albert Hall in Manchester absolutely nailed it off the scale. Played the Sophtware Slump from start to finish and added another 8 songs, added an 8 piece chamber orchestra to the band to do the album's orchestration justice. One of only 4 UK dates on the tour the place was rammed with 2,000 aficienados, the couple next too me were up from Llanelli. As good as it gets That does sound good. Would have been seeing Holy Fuck tonight but the missus is off to see Craaaaig David at the Arena so I've got the kids. Same next week when I'll be missing Blondie & Johnny Marr and Confidence Man as well :-( Just over a month till Primavera Sound though, only been 2 years 3 months since I bought the tickets for it. Went see em in Leeds on Tuesday, bloody brilliant it was. Been waiting 2 years go see em has had tickets in April 2020 but we know what happened next. Spirtualized next Friday, conna wait Nice. Looks a good venue, the Leeds one. Upcoming gigs for me this year are the Strokes at Lytham, Toro Y Moi at the new Century Hall in Manchester, and !!! (chk chk chk) at Band on the Wall. Will try and fit another festival later on in the year an all.
