I'm not or wasn't particularly a Starmer fan. But I have to admit at least the change has , imo, created a new wave of hope and optimism. At least the previous lot have gone which is one positive.I suppose it's like getting a new manager. I believe in giving everyone a chance. He has many challenges and we can't expect immediate miracles. Only a few days in but it's refreshing to hear proper conversations on the radio about how we take things forward, i.e. Prison reform, planning regs etc |

Sat in a pub outside Wembley stadium having a pint after leaving the ACDC concert after just 45 mins. Hands down the most dreadful sound I've ever heard at a concert in my entire life. Just a complete wall of distortion, rendering it impossible to know just what song they were even playing at times. Desperately dissapointed. Thats a real shitter, especially for the high ticket prices. Always wanted to tick them off my list but sounds like I've missed the boat, quality wise. |

No but interesting choice of username! 😆 I’ve been to a few just lately: Fabio and Grooverider, Orbital (obvs) and The Breeders all at Rock City and then a Kate Bush tribute at the Rescue Rooms who was great but disappointingly wasn’t called Fake Bush. She does have a tribute act called that, been going for a few years now. |

Janelle Monae at Aviva Studios, Manchester. Was confused at first as we were seated far further forward than the seats were at Johnny Marr at the same venue. The stage and setup felt way different to that gig but I put it down to the venue being multifunctional for different types of gigs. Turns out there are two halls 🙄😂 Ask me again in a couple of weeks but right now, on my way home, that's in my top 10. Outstanding sound, choreography, visuals, singing, well, outstanding everything. One of the great all round performers of our time. 10/10 My car overheated and started smoking on the way, so I had to turn back. I could've probably got to tonight's gig somehow but forgot. I did email the venue asking if I could swap my ticket given neither was sold out, but I didn't get a response. It was shit mate, you missed nowt. |

Another superb weekend at Glastonbury, my 3rd time in 5 years. The crowds are absolutely ridiculous though and sadly, I was nearly involved/witnessed in a serious crush at around 4:00am Sunday morning in the Shangri La area. Organisation was piss poor across the weekend, with acts playing on stages they shouldn't have been on. Avril Lavigne for example had no business being on the Other Stage, with a capacity of 65,000. The Sugababes also had no business on the even smaller West Holts stage. I think the organisers have lost their grasp on the attendees tastes, especially in terms of dance acts and nostalgic pop acts. Coldplay were absolutely terrible in my opinion. Saturday ended up being a bit of a damp squib for me. Best acts of the weekend: Olivia Dean, Remi Wolf, Paul Heaton, LCD Soundsytem, Jungle, Fontaines DC, Bloc Party, Nia Archives, Justice, Romy. Unfortunately, I didn't get to see half as much as I'd have liked to. P.S: hate to say this as well, as I have stuck up for them many a times on various threads on here, but the Scouse mob were absolutely vile all weekend. One of Carragher's lot actually tried to start an argument with me just before Coldplay as me and my mates were trying to get out of the crowd and get and get further up the hill. Not even in their way. She was going fucking mental over absolutely nothing. Really entitled, mob mentality which was sad to see. It would be easy for me to call Carragher a bell end but at the end of the day just because he's famous, he's got eyes on him. Plenty of all other people acting a clown there me included. Nothing in that report makes me want to go. I think I'll stick with my 60k capacity European festivals with hotel room included. Less scousers for a start. |

I'd still like to know what the hell Michael J Fox was doing on stage with Coldplay and why anyone thought it was a good idea to do the video link with an obviously poorly Michael Eavis. I thought all of that was truly bizarre. The choice of song that Michael J Fox came on too also was bizarre As someone noted on another forum, at least it wasn't Shiver. |
