The player is far more important than the cash we'd get for him. Would be incredibly short sighted to get rid at the first opportunity, although that's easier said than done if someone comes in with an offer the club and player can't refuse.

Really enjoyed that. Also never knew about the Czech thing. Watched the Nicholas Winton film last night as well and just read that a lot of the kids were homed in Stoke.
The film - 'One Life' is ÂŁ1.99 to rent on Amazon Prime at the moment if anyone's interested.

Looks a shadow of his former self. Not sure if he’s injured or not conditioned right. He’s only 30 so it shouldn’t be a legs going issue. It’s weak management though, as it’s been like playing with 10 men all tournament. He’s offered virtually nothing & has been so immobile. Genuinely thought he was 32 |

Feel better than last time we messed that one up and Spain are much better than Italy were England were poor earlier in the tournament but last games we played as well we could I think Spain showed they are better today, simple as that Time for Gareth to say he's done his bit and time for him to get the praise he deserves No idea who the next England manager will be tbh Pretty much the entire squad will be about in 2 years plus some otgers Strikers are all getting on a bit, need to find a young striker to add to the options but don't see one coming through atm Bang on as per usual. I've felt much more gutted going out of major tournaments in the past than this before. |

If we try and play them at their own game (like we did Italy) we lose. If we go at them and play on the front foot then I think we win. Be brave and go at the fuckers. As I remember it, we played good attacking football in the group stage and knockouts in the Euros last time and then reverted to type in the final which is what did us in. Maybe this time we'll do it the other way round and actually have at them like we should be doing. |

If it wasn’t for Stoke I might give up on football. Most enjoyment I get from it if I’m not watching Stoke is a bet on a Saturday and watching the scores come in while having a pint. Too much punditry, too much agonising over 1 simple incident to fill time. The wokeness of the commentary teams and pundits, half of which can’t string a sentence together. Another nail will be half empty grounds because Sky are showing your team every other game. Same here. I used to watch loads of games on TV and have stopped that now. I only watch Stoke and England tbh nowadays. I even don’t know or care about players anymore. I never heard of that Spanish wonder kid until a week ago. It’s either age or lost interest. Probably a bit of both. I'd not heard of Konsa, or Guehi for that matter before the tournament started. |

The Zombies at the RNCM in Manchester. What a great venue and another one to tick off the list. Sound was really, really good. Band were great. Doubt I'll ever see a keyboard player live as good as Rod Argent again. Absolutely outstanding. Lead singer was in good voice as well. No mean feat at 78. Some bits were overblown with unnecessary guitar solos etc but they looked like they were having fun and musicianship was of the highest order. Some of my favourite gigs in recent years have been by artists in their later years. They do know what they're doing when they get to a certain age! Sadly Rod Argent has announced his retirement from touring today after recently suffering a stroke. Best wishes to him. I'm really glad I went now. |
