Pulis told BBC Radio Stoke: "I like proving people wrong."
I think he's talking about you spastics.

If it wasn't for our scepticism driving him on, we'd have gone down.

Indeed, if it wasn't for your sheer hatred of our manager then it was a nail on certainty that we would still be in the obscurity of the Championship.

he's done very well, changed his charcter/charisma/mannersim to become more likeable, and the change in tactics in january with the additional players. Went up in my thoughts when he finally got rid of little Ant, must have know the Daily telegraph was going to post about "snouts in the trough"

Ilford
I'm just pointing out that if we had gone along with you cretins then we would have missed out on a promotion to the Prem, a very enjoyable year in the Prem and now a second season in the Prem.
I would say that this is the perfect time to remind you and your ilk of how stupid you all are.

I'm sorry but thats bullshit, Coates could have brought in a manager just as capable, and given them just as many millions to spend. Pulis has done a damn good job, but to think he was the only manager in the world capable of that is sheer madness

Ilford - it is irrelevant as to whether Coates "might" have had similar success with another manager. The fact is that a lot of Stokies claimed we would never have any success with Pulis in charge and it is quite clear that those Stokies were very very wrong.
EDIT: you can level the same accusation against the Stokies who claimed that Coates would bring the club to its knees if he was allowed to buy the club back.

Pulis has done a triffic job and has proven a lot of us wrong. Caps off to him.
But with the same resources, surely even you MCF must see that Boskamp would have secured at least a Europa league spot

Lakeland, its also quite clear that the Tony Pulis we now have has changed a hell of a lot compared to the Tony Pulis we had under the Icelanders. I mean we even enjoy his post match interviews now, instead of taking the piss out of them and playing "catch phrase bingo" with them

It was hardly surprising given his track record was it? I'm sure some of you enjoyed rifling your tongue right up his anus as soon as he returned, some of us needed a bit more convincing. To that end Coates has indeed delivered on his promise and has redeemed himself from the shit we endured in his first tenure. That sound reasonable enough to me.

Get real Ilford
The only transformation is that he had some decent money in his pockets to spend.
The TP transformation on the Road to Damascus is a myth created by the PHW's in order to make their own judgements less stupid.
You have been shown up to be thick cunts - why not just accept it?
Indeed Paddock, I think Arsenal would have been fearing for their 4th spot!

there was no need for him to take it out on us though with that god awfull binary sequence.
anyway thats my last post on here, he's done very well for us, I just find it sad, that this summer, as last. when he has done well, some sad little men, with sad little lives can't just enjoy the summer without threads like this.

The fact is that a lot of Stokies claimed we would never have any success with Pulis in charge and it is quite clear that those Stokies were very very wrong. Absolutely correct, and I was one of those people. What I don't see is the 'number of people' proved right. I can recall ONE bloke who said Tony Pulis would get Stoke into the Premiership. Good old Ianrb - he was right, good for him. Pulis came to Stoke with a poor record, slagged off Stoke before, been in more courtrooms than Rumpole, had a reputation for negative long ball football, wasted millions of pounds at two previous clubs on aging has beens and was out of work for 2 years. I think any reasonable person, based on that record, would form an opinion that he wouldn't be a success at Stoke. Since the start of his second spell in charge it's pretty obvious that he has been on a charm offensive. Since January Stoke have started to play a little football - new players and Whelan starting games - right now we are a decent team. With more signings to come, things are looking good. IMHO Pulis has been a credit to Stoke City this season - both on the pitch with his side and off the pitch with his pragmatic down to earth approach to his club and life in general.

I was kind of right in that I thought TP would get us in the top 6 of the championship with the appropriate funding.
Agreed on Ianrb though.
He was mocked on here for his unstinting support of TP and has really shown you all up....embarrassingly so.

Had we 'done a Derby' would this board have 'TP Out' threads on it? Most probably, so fair play to mcf for actually getting anyone to respond to his 1000th ish 'Oi Pulis Hating Wankstains' thread.
As for ianrb, he wasn't mocked for his support of TP he was mocked for his inability to see anything remotely wrong with him, oh yes and his hilarious barber shop stories.
