I can't remember whether or not it was the 10th or 11th time I saw the Morris Marina's goal on TV and then gave you a quick thought and how I would feel when I collared you on the Oatcake about it. God was certainly being kind to me. ;D I'm always delighted to see substantial improvement. I preach it every day. Its always good to recognise where you have come from, too.

Clearly the Premier League is too rarified for the people who were content to beat their meat in appreciation of some of the garbage that went before the last couple of seasons.
As that was their orgasm level, they should retire gracefully to Crusty Road or Vile Park.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Yes lads, and that's why, for all he's done, Pulis remains a lower-league manager for me. Given the choice between scoring goals and stopping the opposition, he goes safety-first every time. Me - I'll take goals. Every time. Aaron C. Reskew Academy Starlet

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thing is Carver, do you want to experience this for more than one season? I know I do. But, given the huge odds against us staying up, then it's likely that if you do want more then we're going to have to go for promotion again in 2009-10. Is the manager putting together a squad that will get us up again in 2010? Personally I think that he's struggling. You have to hope that he is the manager that some think he is, otherwise Q6 will have to read "What would have made our only season in the PL a satisfactory experience?" Aaron C. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jar - much as I agree with your sentiments, it isn't going to happen. Pulis is untouchable as long as Coates is there, but here's the pisser - I reckon that Coatesy can cope with relegation to the Championship. But what happens when he finds out that Pulis has pissed all his money away on camels who aren't good enough for that league? We live in interesting times, my friend. PULIS OUT! Aaron C. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Because we play a type of football, and I use that word with caution here, that is completely and utterly at odds with the object of scoring goals. Our principal weapon is a long throw in. We have no pace in the team so counter-attacking is a non-starter. The midfield is deliberately held back to form the defensive 8 that is leaking goals. You can go on and on. And still people here believe that the Manager should be immune from criticism. Take a look at Charlton Athletic my friends. Pulis could be pissing away the biggest windfall in Stoke's history. Aaron C. Reskew Academy Starlet

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- No. The management team is too inexperienced at this level, and so the Transfer window won't save us either. Still, we've got twenty points and we're in the Premier League., aren't we lads? Who could ask for more?

There are many PHW on here who should hang their heads in shame and we all know who they are and still coming out with every excuse under the sun to justify their Pulis position. You have all been proved wrong time and time again and no doubt the same old chronies will be on here slating the man next season if we start to have a bad run again.

True, but it should be no surprise that TP is a different man working with Coates (a man he has always liked) than he was with the Icelanders who he didn't get on with and who he felt didn't have the resources needed to take the club forward. When did he ever not work with Coates Mr Squirrel murderer(edit: allegedly) ? Great thread! ;D
