What have Sheffield clubs won? Sunderland fa cup 73? Stoke’s and Sunderland’s records are about the same. However, I am sorry to say the fan support at sunderland puts Stoke to shame. They broke the attendance record in League 1 of 45,000 and sell out every match in the Championdhip A one club city with a huge catchment area that really don't sell out every game.

Actually they do sell out. I’ve been a couple times. They also compete with Newcastle. The main difference is they have owners and a management team that know what they’re doing

Good job Ryan Reynolds didn't read the Wrexham messageboard....... With some half-decent leadership, Stoke City (a city right in the middle of the country, with 4 major airports nearby, and major road/rail infrastructure, capable of getting 30K every home game) could easily be a regular player in the Premier League, ensuring around £100m a year in revenue. We are actually pretty attractive as a football club. But yet again, we have the glass-half-empty Stokie attitude of putting ourselves down. No wonder no fucker invests in the city. out of curiosity how may clubs in say the last 15 years have been took over by new owners , and out of them how many have been successful ?? any ideas anyone 🤷♂️

And have a look at a map.....them, Newcastle and Boro have a gigantic area and huge population between them. Also look at attendances when they've been shit.....

The main difference is they have owners and a management team that know what they’re doing Yet as recently as April their supporter base was thoroughly pissed off with their ownership and wondered what the hell they were doing, criticising everything from the stadium, team, manager and team funding. Roll on 3 football months later and everything is tickety boo 🤷♂️

an average championship club that has won 1 major trophy in its entire existence and managed 10 seasons of premier league football before slipping back into football league mediocrity. Who in their right mind would invest in such a club when there are alternatives like Sunderland,Leeds, the two Sheffield clubs, bigger clubs than us with a history of success not a history of underachieving. So only big clubs with rich histories get bought do they? This argument is absolutely pathetic. no argument at all just an opinion that there are bigger clubs than us in this league that could be a more attractive club to buy/invest in
