James Cleverly: 39 Robert Jenrick: 31 Kemi Badenoch: 30 Tom Tugendhat: 20
Tom Tugendhat is eliminated from the Tory leadership contest.
James Cleverly is now a dead cert to be on the ballot of Tory members, because most of Tugendhat’s voteswill transfer to him. The battle on the party’s right between Jenrick and Badenoch will be something to behold over the next 24 hours - popcorn time!

Sad to see Tom out of the race as he's probably the best of a bad bunch in my opinion.

It always strikes me how the anti progressive conservative party always manage to get women and people from ethnic backgrounds up in the race for the biggest gig in govt. I just can't work out what's going on 🤔

I mean Labour have never got close to even a woman being considered for the big job. Then again Kier does struggle with what a woman actually is I suppose..😆

It's all pretty boring stuff. This next election is going to be all about Reform and it should be a lot of fun.
Nige and the boys are just getting started.

They need to be vetting and fielding much better candidates in 2029 - our local one barely seemed to know his own name, never mind what his policies were.

As for the Tories, Cleverly would be a decent candidate if they want to attract centrist floating voters again. Jenrick would be a Truss style disaster. Badenoch will win over core support.

Who’s the best bullshitter? I’d go for them Step forward Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson Now is obviously not the right time nor would he be be eligible but a lot of his acolytes and he himself have been pretty vocal lately 2/3 Years of the Tory's going nowhere in the Polls will get the Grandes feeling restless and ruthless Timing is everything as far as Boris is concerned as he pondered and agonized over the decision by writing two contrasting essays whether to back or reject Brexit, the most important reason being which would be most beneficial for Boris.
