Regretfully my appeal last week to stop booing our team failed and the players were accompanied by boos at the end of the Boro game.
We have to stick with this new manager and players if we are to have any hope of moving forward and away from the annual foot of the table end of season farce.
Lets be fair the manager has been in charge for two weeks and none of the players were signed or recommended by him.
We try again on Wednesday and its another chance to try and give help to both players and manager, giving belief and perhaps confidence.
Please do as I would request the players dig deep and give it your very best of support it will be a great help, and if we can finally get out of this dismal run who knows we may just see more positive results going forward.
C'mon Stoke !!!!

If we want to move away from the bottom half then players, SD and HC need to do a lot lot better. They were fortunate to be booed at the end of the game when it wouldn't affect their play. That performance deserved a lot worse and travelling fans showed wonderful restraint

One of the worst performances in living memory. I’m not surprised there was booing.
Not only did we offer nothing in attack we were completely boring the socks off everyone with pointless passing backwards and sideways which inevitably invited pressure and ended with “hoooof”
I have seen us lose by more goals and perform better than that.
Stoke fans are a pretty forgiving lot in my opinion as long as the team shows guts and work hard with full commitment to the cause.
What we saw yesterday was disgraceful.
History shows that when you lose the away support you are on thin ice. I don’t think I have seen it happen this quickly though.
I am also sick to death of our season being over before the weather gets bad, yet here we go again. Another reset

Im afraid some times the people see the obvious when others with a vested interest ie his sponsors don’t , this decsion is a complete howler , the worst possible fit at the worst possible time the quicker they it the better , its o yo gong to get worse unimaginable as that may seem , see Palace and De Boer

Nobody can blame the fans for booing after the game. It was rock bottom levels of bad on par with the first half vs Blackburn away last season and the Wednesday game at home that saw Neil sacked, relegation football.
I've mentioned this already but it is not fair on the players that they're being drilled into a shit way of playing that they can't pull off no matter if they're good enough or not long term. It's embarrassing as a Stoke fan that we have taken bright talents in Koumas and Moran where they have been around a culture at their parent clubs that flourishes in player development at youth level only to have a 12 month stint of their careers wasted at our toxic tinpot club.
Then they have to bare the brunt of our fans where the booing is more so directed towards the running of our club but we're not going to be protesting outside the stadium because fans just can't be arsed and why should they be?
I honestly wouldn't be surprised if more clubs start getting to the point where they refuse to loan their young talents to us because they'll recognise we will likely hinder their progression due to such instability around the place.

People are well within their rights to boo when ever they want. Spending god knows how much time and money to go see the cack that was offered up yesterday. I booed and I could shit in my own toilet if I wanted.

We shouldn't be booing. It's counterproductive. Fish, I know you may choose not to answer this and I fully understand in the circumstances, but with your previous association, were first hand accounts or the impact on players when booing occurred ever shared with you? There is an assumption it doesn’t help, just wondering if you were recounted any specific examples (no names of course) as to what it does do.

Generally don’t like it when people blame the fans but it’s hard to avoid the obvious conclusion - part of the problem at this club is that a section of fans, in the name of “being supportive”, blindly cheer stupid decisions by the management and go out of their way to shut down any criticism of the clowns running the shitshow.

Booing literally does nothing other than make the situation worse.
It’s simple if you were on a fuck ton of money and told to go play for the fans who were booing, calling you wank, telling you to fuck off, not just at the match but on social media as well … would you go ah go on I’ll play for them with passion or would you go… ah well fuck it I cba. I’ll put in minimum effort then when we get relegated they’ll need to sell and someone will likely come in ( see Laurent and baker, both criticised but taken by teams in the top 4)

Perhaps when they outwork another tram they'll get the applause they deserve. In the meantime, they need telling that they are a huge part of the resdim the club is a basket case.
Imagine clapping that yesterday. Do you thank your missus if she shits on a plate and says there's your tea?

C'mon Stoke !!!! Where’s the line? If we ship 5 goals on Wednesday to a team that hasn’t won all season, are we still expected to clap them off politely? And while the manager has only been here two weeks, he was the one who claimed in his first interview that he knew the players and the system that would work for them. Given that was clearly horseshit, can I boo him if he decides again that our response to going behind is for the defenders to pass it between themselves for twenty minutes?

The hardcore away fans have every right to boo this is not a new thing we have had more than our fair share of shit to watch over the last 7/8 years. The problem is its not the players who should get it in the neck but the clown who has been running the show. Coates is the problem & until he employs someone who knows how to run a football club or sells up we are stuck in this never ending downward spiral.

at the risk of being called all the names under the sun Booing won't make anything any better but will undoubtedly make things a whole lot worse. Possibly, after all these years, time to take another break from this MB. The level of abuse for merely stating an opinion and a valid one at that is getting a bit beyond. I will only say that it would've helped, in spite of the anger and frustration to have given this guy and the young squad a fighting chance. This Club has had huge difficulties for a number of seasons now and a lot of this outpouring is understandable. I sincerely hope that he can turn this around and not fail as so many have already done. Anyways, booing really will make things worse, fact.

C'mon Stoke !!!! Firstly. You have no right to suggest anyone does anything.... if you dont want to boo... then don't.... the people that do choose to boo aren't asking you to do as they say... everyone is free to do as they wish.... secondly. How do you know they were booing the manager?.... we're all aware he's only been here 2weeks.... maybe they were booing the players after Yet ANOTHER shocking performance... players are hiding...players who looked half decent last season. Suddenly don't look as though they've ever played the game before.....regardless of how unhappy they are ..or arnt with the manager/team/ tactics/ formation... they are meant to be professional...and as such... should be doing what they're getting paid ( very handsomely) to do.... we are in a shit storm of form as a club... and the performances are very worrying... nobody can deny that...regardless of you being pro...or anti booing...if it goes tits up on Wednesday... booing will be the least of the problem... the club is spiralling down a toxic rabbit hole....and people have the right to voice there opinions.... so you clap if you want to clap.... and leave others to boo if they want to...its all about opinions

This is not a subject I would normally post on, as I don't agree with booing but understand people's disappointment, sometimes despair, and clearly on Saturday anger.
I would not boo because I know some like Gallagher were genuinely trying. I have always applauded my team and there were still a few fans on Saturday doing so, but for the first time in my life (I went to my first match in the 50s) I turned my back and walked out. I have never seen such a persistent negative display. What on earth has happened to Burger that he plays facing our goal when we have the ball, playing back to the defence, and running round assaulting the opposition when they have the ball?
I went to the match with one relative who is a lifelong Blackburn fan and after the match met up with another relative who is a lifelong Whitby/Boro fan. Both were shocked how bad Stoke were.
I pray the new manager is a genius.

I don't like any booing. And I do think its counter productive. However if someone wants to boo then I ain't going to criticise them. They've paid their money so its their choice.
The responsibility to stop the booing lies with the club and the match day players. Serve up something better and the booing goes away instantly.

They were clapped off after disgracefully getting relegated in 2018.......so let's clap them all the way to Crawley next season.
If you can't put a shift in on daft wages and afterwards being told to put a shift in by those who spend their hard earned to watch you not put a shift in, them you deserve all the stick you get.
Apathy kills football clubs. Stoke are driving folk into apathy.

I wouldn't blame anyone for booing if he sets about the game on Wednesday like he did yesterday regardless of whether we go behind or not, it certainly didn't take until Boro went in front for me to think this is absolutely shit and not something I want watch. If that's how he wants to play he can fuck off and take JW with him.
