Just wondered if anyone is close to walking away from the club and finding something better to do with their time.
I have to admit the last few years have got me thinking a lot about knocking this on the head and doing something better with my time and money.
I get that I will probably lose some friends but i may make new ones.
I guess the remainder of this season will be the acid test, as it will determine if my heart is still in it.
Wonder if anyone else feels the same

Think the same every end of season for many years but keep having optomism for the nextseason.
Sods law says when give up Stoke will come good.
A m I the bad luck omen?

The stadium should have a wall on the way out, specifically for banging your head against.

I don’t work because of my disability and it’s becoming increasingly difficult to justify the cost of a season ticket to my wife when the best we can hope for is surviving a relegation battle and maybe climbing as high as 14th.

Just grit your teeth and endure it.
When the good times eventually come it makes them even sweeter.

Wonder if anyone else feels the same I made the stupid mistake of getting two season tickets this season after walking away from the shit show 3years ago I totally believe I've been had by the club and what it promised over the close season

I'm 51 now, been supporting stoke since about 10-11, it's your club, simple as that, sometimes it's shit and sometimes it's not, I've supported them in league 1 and in the prem, I've had just as good a day in lg 1 as I have in the prem, it's just stoke city. Love em or hate em !

Grandad was a vale fan, when they played poor or lost he’d say “think I’ll start watching cricket instead”. I now realise he wasn’t just saying this for comedy

Just grit your teeth and endure it. When the good times eventually come it makes them even sweeter. The difference this time is we aren’t skint. We should never have been relegated from the prem given the riches at our disposal. We go from one bad decision to the next without even a smattering of it looking like things are on the up. This has gone on for 7 fucking years. Something has to give and that’s the one thing in those 7 years that hasn’t yet. The owner.

Took my lad tonight. Trying to get him into it but it's bloody tough when it's like that.
Not sure I want to put him through the misery to come.
It will get ugly.

I'm already thinking about not renewing next season, it's just not enjoyable. There's being shit because you're shit but we are shit through blatant and constant mismanagement.

He genuinely thinks he’s a football man though. The evidence was there when he stuck himself on the football operations board back in the MON & Cousins days. That was a massive red flag for me.

The logical part of me is struggling to justify this any longer. I don't live in the area anymore and coming down to watch us writes a couple of days off for me (there's no way I could watch us sober so I stay over 😂).
But if I was going solely for the football I'd have jacked in a few years ago. Don't think there's anything better after a week at work than putting the world to rights with a couple of beers with family and good friends.
And to be honest, being a Stoke City supporter is a part of my identity so to give it up would be to go against my nature.

Pelach gets time, but it's not beyond the realms of possibility we'll need another new manager soon. If we lose to Boro, Portsmouth and Swansea, everything looks very ugly.

Not a chance, but I have become less emotionally attached over the years (I’m only 43 mind). A result used to determine my weekend, now once I’m away I’m largely over the low bits. It helps that I now spread my attention to multiple sports and interests. I’m hoping regardless of Champions League or National League, that I’ll keep going for the social aspect at least; until I can’t physically do it anymore.

Funnily enough, one of the things I said tonight in the pub after the game was that one of the worst things to have ever happened to the club is to come into billions of pounds of money in a weird way. I think it's made us a very lazy club at the top, thinking we can buy and spend our way out of every problem. Historically (that being in the last decade really) the more we spend, the shitter the end product. I'm not wishing us to be skint again obviously but it's a worry.
