If Mr coates isn't on the phone to Cooper's or Robins representatives first thing tomorrow morning then he is the biggest idiot on this earth

The connection he keeps talking about between club and supporters seems to be more detached week by week🔴⚪️ probably because his football is shit and were averaging 1.15 points a game under him Exactly shit football is only ever tenable if it’s providing significantly improved results and even then some will still refuse to buy into it.

I remain shocked that Pelach hasn't brought in an experienced assistant. I'm assuming he is too cock sure of himself to think it's necessary but he should be told otherwise.

Not sure about an experienced assistant, but I do wonder what all the guys on the touchline with him do. Clement Whitehead Morris For a team with a head coach and these three, we look especially poorly coached.

We’re not gonna sack him and I’m not even sure we should before the end of the season.
The problem arises if they back him in a summer transfer window and then sack him 5 games in as they have done twice in 2 years. Because Coates has no long term plan and believes whatever anyone says to him if dressed up in flowery language.
Walters would essentially make his position untenable if he pulled the plug now, and given this is his first role with no previous record of success that could essentially end his career as an executive or at least throw him down the pyramid for a decade.

If Mr coates isn't on the phone to Cooper's or Robins representatives first thing tomorrow morning then he is the biggest idiot on this earth For the last few seasons I've been calling for a foreign coach because the available British coaches were so shit....however, we now have two very good British coaches available who will very quickly get snapped up, I'd throw everything we've got to get Robins, he doesn't seem to suffer fools gladly and maybe that's what we need at the club rather than a procession of yes men. I was genuinely excited that Pelach could change things and from a promising start it's got alarmingly worse, he's already gone into damage limitation mode within a couple of months.

I'm not too sure. Lose the next two or three the pressure will really be on him. Walters would redeem himself with a Cooper or Robins type appointment.

Absolutely frightening. It is you and hundreds like you that we need to get rid of. You've o lying just come down from yesterday's drink and drugs to even reply. Huge fan of Silverdollar here - criticising our match going supporters in every post while attending only one game this season and stating he won’t return because of the swearing. I am a season ticket holder and your information is wrong! I do hate what is happening to a once great city and that makes me critical of Stoke's degeneration, a complex social argument. But I know for a fact that no one on oatcake owns Stoke City. It costs an awful lot of money but it does not give them the right to make decisions. It is a fans job, for a relative much lower price to support their team of choice through thick and thin. That's what I choose to do. Am I happy about the relegation and time since then, No! I do think that a percentage of our so called fans is one of the major problems. Narcis Pelach should be given time and support to turn the club around but that is not an overnight thing. Choosing another manager would be a foolish and suicidal. We got beat on Saturday by a very good team but we were not bad as made out by demanding "fans" who can't cope with defeat.

But he isn't the manager and he doesn't choose the players, Walters does, his task is to coach what he has been given and select an appropriate team. It's the manner in which we are playing that is causing most concern, we are all too often an easy target defensively. That may be forgiven if we were prolific goal scorers but we are not. How we play is uninspiring and hence the reduced attendance and sadly fans expressing themselves in the only way that will be noticed, booing. I just cannot see this unexperienced coach turning things around regardless of the amount given. Calling people "so called fans" because you disagree with their views is unbecoming. For the record I started supporting Stoke in 1958 and will continue supporting them until I die regardless of how good or poor or what division.

Walters should already have a list of possible recruits in place in the event of a new manager. Xmas is the only time it could be done without embarrasment and credibility.

Will Walters have a list of possible recruiters though? He likely thinks NP is here for the long haul because he is the one who got him in.

If we've picked up a bit and accumulating points at xmas then him and JC will give him the window. If not then maybe the axe. Robins and Cooper snapped up by then and probs end up with Mowbray. Another season wasted ... But that's what we expect now.

Ultimately the question still remains, would it be any worse under SS? I think majority of us know the answer by now. So what was the point? If we'd replaced SS with a genuine upgrade, we'd not even be thinking this. NP was ultimately a gamble we absolutely didn't need to take, and it's still looking like a crazy decision 3 months later. He's a rookie, and I feel like he's not someone I think looks like he commands respect. This is exactly what I said the day NP was hired and was slated by the Schuey haters for it. It was a gamble we didn't need to take. And while I don't think NP will take us down as he's too defensive and will grind out a point here and there to get us to 50, relegation could still happen, especially if JW's stubborn enough.

Actually Coates should already have a list of possible recruits for both positions. Whether they are sensible or viable is a moot point but he should have seen enough to know he has been fooled again!

Alternatively, why would an experienced assistant coach work for a very inexperienced head coach? This is a total shambles that can only be fixed if PC admits his son doesn’t know what he’s doing.

Does Peter have any influence now? Reckon JC has the keys to the castle. I'm not giving up on Narcis yet tbh. But, come Christmas time it might be a different story. The last two home games have been abysmal, let's not kid ourselves. David Moyes anyone??

Not sure I agree with that. Admitting a mistake and having the balls to act on it is far more admirable than backing a lame pony for the sake of it. This coach is gone sooner or later.
