His last match in charge is just after Remembrance Sunday, it could all get a bit feisty. I highly doubt it’ll be his last If he wins the games we expect to win then he will get the job.

In that he’s unproven he is. that's true, never managed a senior side before except unlike Southgate when he was U21 boss Carsley has won U21 Euro's I can't see an obvious candidate for the England job as Klopp & Pep have said no at this time, Howe is OK but no more, Potter same, Pochetinnho (who has now taken USA job) slaughtered for not winning a trophy, would like Postecoglu myself but he would also get slaughtered for not having won Champions League or Prem League Carsley has at least won an U21 tournament & will typically look to play attacking football(but not second half) as we saw first half v Ireland As such atm stick with Carsley as caretaker I’d have Thomas Tuchel in I reckon. He’s class and a free agent

It could get "feisty" because he won't sing a song? Ffs what a world we live in.

The Irish rugby team have an English man as Head coach who has got them to no 1 in the world. So let's give this Irish man a chance to do the same for our football team. Could be the winning formula 🤔 😃
Still think we missed a trick with Jackie Charlton...he'd have been a perfect England manager I reckon.

If the game's after Remembrance Sunday/Armistice Day (whichever is last) , it shouldn't be an issue. Most people have binned their poppies straight after so I wouldn't expect the next England game after the 11th to be a "poppy-event".

Some people say what is all the fuss, it's just a song etc. However, it's our natianal team and out national anthem. For those "anywhere" people that doesn't matter. But if you are a "somewhere" person and still love your country, its history, achievements and people and are patriotic then it does matter. Or else, by extension why have a national team in the first place?

Hopefully, by the time kick-off arrives, he'll have had a bulldog wearing a Union Jack waistcoat tattooed onto his calf, killed a dragon and colonised a quarter of the world's total landmass.

Should be no where near the England team if that's how he feels how can any player have pride and respect if the person leading them has none

Should be no where near the England team if that's how he feels how can any player have pride and respect if the person leading them has none Hopefully, UK rowing coach Jürgen Gröbler absolutely belted the anthem out regularly for 24 years during 7 Olympic games 1992-2016, as if he hadn't then no way would his 'team' (below) of rowers won the following or have had any respect for him......... Steve Redgrave and Matthew Pinsent in 1992 and 1996 in the pair James Cracknell, Tim Foster, Steve Redgrave and Matthew Pinsent in 2000 in the four Steve Williams, James Cracknell, Ed Coode and Matthew Pinsent in 2004 in the four, Tom James, Steve Williams, Pete Reed, and Andrew Triggs Hodge in 2008 in the four, Alex Gregory, Pete Reed, Tom James and Andrew Triggs Hodge in 2012 in the four, and Alex Gregory, Moe Sbihi, George Nash and Constantine Louloudis in 2016 in the four Phelan Hill, Will Satch, Matt Langridge, Paul Bennett, Pete Reed, Matt Gotrel, Andrew Triggs Hodge, Tom Ransley and Scott Durant in 2016 in the eight. Plenty of examples of coaches from abroad winning shitloads for grateful sportspeople of this country. This is just one.
