Another like Sidibe who just slotted straight in and looks a player
Schumacher is not afraid to blood the young lads and his management of them is top drawer

I am very impressed.
Is this all those years of investing in the academy starting to pay off?

I am very impressed. Is this all those years of investing in the academy starting to pay off? You can’t really class Dixon as a product of our academy really. Good scouting though.

It’s the sweet spot for us as a club. We can offer a pathway for the likes of Dixon, it makes us a better team and also nets us tens of millions in the process. The self sufficiency is finally rearing its head.

Yeah hes kind of bolted out from nowhere from the academy and looks a proper player.
Thats why League Cup games are so important - to give younger players a chance to show the manager they can step up.
I think Rose is currently injured? But I would keep Dixon ahead of him in the centre halves list of players.
It looks like Gibson is going to be a regular sicknote as well

Another like Sidibe who just slotted straight in and looks a player Schumacher is not afraid to blood the young lads and his management of them is top drawer I’ve never felt so positive after todays game after a good few years of mainly misery - Some great youngsters coming through and being given a chance. - In Manhouf, Bae, Burger and now Bocat 4 excellent young players who are ours - Some great young loanees being given a chance which will only improve our reputation amongst the big clubs - Players being moved on that were holding us back I’ve criticised SS in the past for some bad decisions but he and the management team deserve huge credit for changing the direction of the club. If we have some luck with injuries I can see this year being much improved on the last few and far more entertaining.

It’s criminal Sidibe has started 0 league games and the waster Laurent has started 3.

It’s why I’m so big on my talk of pathways. We have to provide these plauers with game time because if we don’t we aren’t offering them anything useful.

I met Jaden last week, lovely kid. He is so laid back, looks like he just got off his ps5, but he told me “when I get the shirt, no one will take it off me”!! One of many positives we have at the moment.

And I can’t agree with the op. It’s criminal Sidibe has started 0 league games and the waster Laurent has started 3. Its pretty simple Laurent is 29 and proven at this level. Sidibe is 17 and never played at this level, so hes being eased in. Now youre just talking bollocks that even Alex Ferguson wouldnt have done. So far so good with Sidibe, but dont put too much pressure or expectation on him right now. Im sure he will be a regular starter by October time and our most important midfielder.

Laurent isn’t and hasn’t been good enough for us. Sidibe had shown he was better and should have been playing over him. It was poor management. There’s no pressure. But he’s a very good player and better than people want to believe I think. And why October? He’s ready now. He was ready a while a go.

So far he has played against Middlesborough reserves and 30 minutes against Plymouth and he looks the bees knees. I actually think he will be the most important midfielder this season - but even I wouldnt put that responsibility on his shoulders just yet. Let him play for 30 minutes a game without so much pressure and show what he can do.

Let him play for 30 minutes a game without so much pressure and show what he can do. He’s shown what he can do. He showed what he could do at the start of last season and was then weirdly taken away before getting ill. He should have been doing this last season as he didn’t look out of place when Neil was playing him as a 16 year old. I genuinely think using him as a sub is a year behind what he should be doing and he is capable of doing. It also worries me that we’ll barely get to watch him before he leaves. Hopefully the family ties make that harder. But the Chelsea links are real. And if Chelsea want him then the rest won’t be far behind either. So it’d be nice if we can make the most of him whilst we can. But I do hope that he’ll stay for at least season before that happens. For his own good more than anything tbh.

There really is no point knocking. Everyone can see Sol's potential and if he fulfils it he's going to be some player, but no manager at this level is going to start a 17 year old kid ahead of experienced first team players or loan players three or four years his senior from the Premier League. Piss and whine all you like, it's not going to happen. Sol is going to be an integral part of the first team squad and he's going to get plenty of minutes, but he just isn't going to be a regular first team starter. The people (person) clamouring for him to start know this as well, but it's just another stick to beat the manager with.

The club are finally moving in the right direction regarding youngsters imo. We have our own lads starting to break into the team plus premier league clubs entrusting us with their own young players which can only be a good thing long term. Finally the management team should get some credit for this happening and I am sure that we are in for some exciting times ahead.

And the other player is Josh Laurent. All he’s experienced in is being fucking useless. It was an easy decision. Why isn’t he going to be a regular starter? That’s just insane. There’s no logic to it. Bar people being over cautious.
