It used to Kidsgrove/Stoke holdings that owned Stoke City, Clayton Wood and Bet635.

Seems like it's to benefit bet365 rather than the club.

The training ground and stadium being put back into club ownership is the interesting part.

Interesting to see what Kieran McGuire has to say on this at 10:30 on radio Stoke.
Don’t think it should mean anything, but it was nice being owned by a large global entity, much easier to restrict investment now as we’re owned by one individual.
There’s always a hidden agenda behind these kind of things as well.

As restrictions grow on clubs being owned/sponsored by betting companies this is a sensible move.

The training ground and stadium being put back into club ownership is the interesting part. Especially as they were sold off not long ago to circumvent FFP.

Seems to be good looking like bet365 have completely wiped out all the debt club reset ground etc all back in the clubs hands, would imagine jc will now invest as I bet he earns a good whack from bet 365 and Peter.

The training ground and stadium being put back into club ownership is the interesting part. Is this Denise severing all ties? It's common knowledge she has no love for the club and begged her dad not to return after the Birmingham trouble.

Would this make us a better proposition to a buyer?

I'll keep my theories to myself for now, but this is potentially one of the most exciting things to happen to the club this summer IMO.

Would this make us a better proposition to a buyer? Definitely. A debt free club which owns all its assets now. Attractive as can be.

Going forward not sure - but standing and looking in the direction of the Bristol area, and watching a certain bunch of sad acts fume as they realise that Bet365 have paid 80M for a stadium and just handed it back to the club for free will be priceless.

So no Bet 365 shirts ? No Bet365 on players shirts ? No gigantic mural at front ? No Bet365 roadwork signs ?

Apoplexy in Bristol as we speak. Keyboards literally vapourising into thin air as emails are 'thrashed' off to the EFL. As a side note - now that ownership has changed, does that make the club ringfenced from previous FFP sanctions if they occurred under a technically different owner?

A bit concerning JC now has the keys to the city Why he’s had them for a number of years an has a huge amount of money. Maybe he’ll get some decisions right eventually. On the plus side our entire debt is cancelled and we own the ground and CW. This really isn’t concerning news.
