Have they done one for the native Indian nation they exterminated solely for greed? There's one in Jonestown where the Native Americans killed hundreds of settlers I'm sure there is. Can you imagine today...immigrants coming over here telling us to sign a piece of paper to live on a reservation so they can claim the rest of the country? At the end of the day you really need to go deep into the stories written of the time to realise the truth of why we're told the horror stories about these " evil savages" all stems from white settlers greed and false promises. Ignore me, I see anything american government led through synical eyes

One of the most stunning places I've been to (Kabak, Turkey). Just here now, enjoying the sunshine and preparing myself to return to sunny UK 🙂

Last night of my week in madiera. Loved every minute. Hotel, couldn't fault it. People fantastic. Weather and views unbelievable. Health and safety .....out the window.
Swimming in natural volcanic rock pools fed by the atlantic walking through long wet caves Hiking above the clouds pico do arieiro at 1800 metres with only a few feet either side of you. Views looking down on the valley of the Nuns. Cable car up to the monti palace gardens, breathtaking lavada walks.
Top it all, a superb taxi driver that took us everywhere and waited while we indulged.
Can't wait to go again so much more to do

Edinburgh at the end of November for four days, turned down Barbados next week for two weeks as been on multiple occasions and I’d miss my dog for that length of time and wouldn’t put her in kennels. Rescue dog and hate to think she’d been dumped again by being in a cage basically

Rescue dog and hate to think she’d been dumped again by being in a cage basically Got to admit, this is the reason I won't get another dog since my old girl died. Can't enjoy my days while they are in kennels

Going to Cyprus for our honeymoon on Tuesday. Weather looks faultless as it stands. 😎 Has she dumped you yet? Not yet. I’m currently by the pool while she sleeps inside, she’s loving the bed in the room. Supposed to be going to Ayia Napa later but she’s not been feeling great. I’m fine though, so that’s all that matters really. I have only just remembered how close we are to Lebanon we are though, it’s only 150 miles or so to Beirut. Scary thought. Guess I’ll be classed as survivor when we get back.

Sounds like a good deal for sure. Keep an eye out for Bratislava ones, especially if you've never been to Vienna, cheap beer and accommodation and some great bars with live music, Vienna is expensive but the train was only about 15 quid return iirc. Yeah once back from Canada I'm thinking Bratislava in December, meant to be very pretty around Christmas time. How did you find it? I recently read about another beautiful but ridiculous cheap city in Slovakia called Kosice which is meant to be a decent crack. I went to Bratislava but only for the day from Vienna on a fast boat down the Danube, a day was enough.

My fave city in the world Not much of a sightseer but could spend hours staring at DUMBO ...have done What a view I always found New York a bit over rated, Boston on the other hand was spectacular and I have been a few times I'm not long back from Chicago, I think that is nicer than New York, and I enjoyed Miami Beach, we stayed just off Ocean Drive, why did you find it a cess pit?

Was in Paris last week with work, and Italy again with work in a few weeks time so wont be away abroad again this year, strange to think it's less than 2 weeks since I was in Chicago, seems ages ago now. However, just had a weekend in Nottingham, a couple of weeks time will be a weekend up in Cumbria, and then before Christmas a long weekend in London, seeing a show, and I've got to treat her to afternoon tea in Fortnum and Masons as she didn't go to Chicago.

She’s just managed to twist my arm into getting a tattoo as well, so I’m no longer a simply bare man, I bear Cypriot ink. Mum will be horrified.

That's a lot of air miles for someone who constantly bangs on about the climate crisis. You must have the largest carbon footprint of anyone on here if we are to believe the amount of travelling you seem to do year on year.

Chicago I paid to offset, I got told where my trees have been planted and it's a project that maintains them to ensure they grow. I'm not sure I constantly bang on about it either.
