Him and the players were boo’d off after his first game having had 3 days at the club. The environment is toxic there is no understanding. No patience. Some of that understandable because we’ve beeen shite for the last 6 years. BUT…. A new player coming in to that environment to try and change things won’t suddenly change it. A few defeats more performances from other players suddenly that player becomes part of the problem you could change the whole fucking squad and they’d get boo’d off in their first game if we lost. Unless we win 8 on the bounce it will never change. We lose against Derby next week, he needs to go. If we still had Schumacher at the helm and we were in the position we are in now, I’d be more optimistic about it eventually being turned around than with our current coach. Without a shadow of doubt. Walter’s completely jumped the gun firing Schumacher. Regardless I’m behind Narcis and hoping he will come good, but that doesn’t change my feelings about firing Schumacher.

Supported the club for 69 years, doesn’t read the Oatcake or get involved with politics of what goes on. He simply keeps abreast of the comings and goings in the local paper, turns up every week hoping/expecting us to win, has a debrief on the game with his mates in the pub good bad or indifferent, never leaves early, never boos during the 90 mins. If we’re shit he gets it off his chest and moves on to the next one. I envy him, too many people in the age of social media focus on the minutia instead of turning up with their friends and family and having a laugh watching the team that they love. It’s a game of football for fucks sake, everyone wants a scapegoat, someone to blame for everything……. |

He must surely be having concerns over his job. The summer window was a complete disaster, Johansson aside.
- The new left back can’t get a game over the 34 year old injury prone journeyman he was brought in to replace
- We’re playing a centre half at right back because he thought we were fine to go into a season with Tchamadeu as our only recognised right back
- Signed two midfielders, one from Japan who neither manager has trusted to play and one with a serious long-term back injury who we’re unlikely to see this year
- Added zero pace to an already chronically slow side
- Signed Gallagher for one of the most important roles in the side when any kind of due diligence would have told him we’d be lucky to get 25 games a season out of him
- Turned down the opportunity to move Wilmot, Thompson and Ennis on
The shit show with the managers was the icing on the cake.

Half a dozen of those players have been given roles and we're in our worst league position for over twenty years. And there's still calls for Whelan to be given a job! |

Honestly this is fucking ridiculous. Every week there are fans petitioning for our technical director and owner to go. Our current head coach was being abused before he’d even taken a game. How is anyone expected to succeed in this environment. I’m not trying to blame the fans but we don’t make it easy for anyone new in to the club. We complain sometimes rightly so for players or managers to go but within a week it’s the same old shit and complaints. How are you to move forward if the toxicity and environment never changes ? By not sacking the manager and replacing him with someone that has zero experience a few games into the season would be a good start. |
