Do we really think it's a coincidence that a few months after signing Walters' mate from Norwich, we've given one of Norwich's first-team coaches a punt at management? Maybe I'm wrong and I'm just a crazy conspiracy theorist. But seems suspiciously like a word-of-mouth recommendation from Gibson to Walters. Honestly this is fucking ridiculous. Every week there are fans petitioning for our technical director and owner to go. Our current head coach was being abused before he’d even taken a game.
How is anyone expected to succeed in this environment.
I’m not trying to blame the fans but we don’t make it easy for anyone new in to the club.
We complain sometimes rightly so for players or managers to go but within a week it’s the same old shit and complaints. How are you to move forward if the toxicity and environment never changes ?

You could say we were in a middle ground with Schumacher - fans weren't happy, but they weren't calling for his dismissal either. The results were not terrible but not impressive, and Jon Walters decided that wasn't good enough. So, given what we had before wasn't acceptable, JW can't complain when it turns our that the players he's recruited are dreadful and the manager he appointed is performing as badly as his track record in Spain suggested. |

It was plainly obvious before the window shut we'd assembled a team that wouldn't compete regularly in the Championship and he went and made it worse. Ultimately we have somebody who has succeeded in business but has shown no capabilities in running a football club as our chairman, a manager whose experience is being first team coach at Huddersfield & Norwich, and a sporting director only hired because he used to play for us (Bollocks did we see something in his short spell at Fleetwood). All of those are almost entirely why we are struggling, and why the place is toxic. Not because people are moaning on the club forum. |
