What do we think, did he burn his bridges with the management & club, or could he be a major player next season?.

We are likely stuck with him unless we loan him out.
We will never get our money back with that goal return.

I think he can be a real asset next season. He's a good footballer and if we can start the season in the fashion we finished this one then I think he can score goals.

What do we think, did he burn his bridges with the management & club, or could he be a major player next season?. Given his level of performances I don’t think he’s likely to be a major player in this country whether he’s mended fences and sorted his self discipline out or not. I really don’t get what anyone has seen to cause them such optimism about him. I think there was 1 game vs Watford where his application was satisfactory. He’s slow and not combative that’s a pretty poor combination for a central striker in England.

His best game was his last one, super v Albion linking play, making chances However as he rarely gets in the box he's not going to score many If he's part of the squad no problem if he's our main striker huge problem as we need at least 10 league goals from the central striker not the 5 or 6 he'd get

I think there is a really good player in there, with the right fitness levels and conditioning. We definitely need another central striker to be more clinical in the box..

It’s hardly a king’s ransom €2M plus add ons that won’t ever be triggered if we cut our losses on him. Really don’t like his game or think he looks like he enjoys playing football, whether that’s just in England I don’t know it’s the only place I’ve seen him play but he just doesn’t look suited or up for the combative type of football that is not optional at this level.

There also seems to be a bit of a mardarse petulant man child too unfortunately. I guess if he can grow up and focus on the job he’s worth persisting with but I’d be of the ‘get shot if we can’ camp at the moment.

Of all the consistent misspellings of player names we’ve had on here over the years, M’waee has to be one of the most absurd, but I keep seeing it.
How can it be so difficult to spell a five letter name correctly?!

Yeh I agree. Thought his attitude looked better when he came back but top and bottom of it he’s not good enough. Can’t imagine anyone wanting him so squad player at best

Don’t think he’s the worst player but I’d quite happily see him leave. He was part of the drama last season. That said- I’d not get rid unless we replaced.

I think he will stay, Schumacher obviously got through to him last season so hopefully he starts to show the progression which he is very capable of. A player like Mmaee probably needs someone like Schumacher to help him achieve his goals and to get his career on track, hopefully he has grown as a person from it and now he can grow as a player

I think he’ll stay. Help us win promotion, maintain a healthy position in the prem. retire then come back as director of football in 12 years time. Cult hero

He can play a bit for sure.
Since we are kind of stuck with him the job is to try to get a tune out of him
It shouldn't be beyond the wit of our management.
And they shouldn't attempt it grudgingly, it's their job.
No manager in any walk of life gets to rip and replace everything they inherited.

If someone’s going to start a thread about whether somebody is good enough to play for us on not they should at least have the decency to spell his name right. Personally I think Mmaee is a clever player but we haven’t seen the best of yet. I’m hopeful Shoomacker can get the best out of him next season, especially playing alongside Bay.

His surname is five letters long. Is it that tricky?

Ok that’s two players in our team with output issues(much as I like Junho) how many do you want? It was the very problem that dogged us last season and it seems like you’d gladly repeat it. Maybe we could play Leris on one side and get Haksabanovic back to play on the other. Play Laurent as an attacking midfielder Stevens LB Junior RB it’s bound to work.

He'll be out the door ASAP with any luck Bang average player but with an appalling attitude What's the difference between average and bang average? Is average, well, average with bang average being crap and therefore below average in which case just say crap Sorry it just narks me as a meaningless phrase The other one that irritates is saying something is 'a big ask' instead of 'a tough task'

As it was pointed out by SS that the players have been given a fitness programme and diet to work on in close season.
Mmaee (vidigal) discipline towards that will provide a big indication if he’s wanting to be at Stoke and we have another signing destined for loan moves until his contract expires?
