I was wondering if Jared had been told someone would be coming in above him but he still had a role to play. He didn’t want to do that and left. However his job title was head of recruitment so that one is a non-starter. I always found it an odd title when he allegedly had nothing to do with the negotiations so I have no doubt they could have thought of a title for someone to come in above head of recruitment - Director of transfers or something similar.

Leaves a very thin role for the SD/TD/DoF we're not Real Madrid.

I know but I was just thinking of a way the club could have tried to bring someone in above Jared which might have made him want to leave. We are not a top club so to have a head of recruitment who doesn't actually recruit anyone is the role we shouldn't have and is a very slim role for someone with such a grand title.

From listening and reading about Walters plans on and off the field, wouldn't surprise me if there was another coach incoming?.

From listening and reading about Walters plans on and off the field, wouldn't surprise me if there was another coach incoming?. What as in Head Coach? I've had a suspicion ever since Walters came in that somehow I just can't see the two men's views aligning but I haven't seen or heard any hard evidence to back that up yet. From what little we know about either I suspect Walters view of the game is more conservative than Schu's. If there were any sort of power struggle my heart would be wanting Schu to remain but my money would be that it would be Walters.

No not a head coach, SS is the man to move us forward. Wouldn't be surprised if Gallagher was moved on or left and a new coach came in, possibly Whelan?.

He’ll get rid of Simon King and convince Coates to give him the club for free. He’ll release all of our best players and bring back Chris Kamara as manager before his lack of attention paid to fire safety leads to the stadium burning down as us having to sell Clayton Wood to the Vale for pennies.

Ah OK I though he (Schu) might be pretty pleased with Gallagher. Reading his latest interview he was saying we were top six for set piece goals scored and Gally is the set piece man. The stat surprised me personally I've not been overly impressed with our set piece routines particularly corners for ages. Long before Gallagher came here. It wouldn't bother me any I hated the games where he was caretaker far too conservative for my liking. I'd have guessed JW would like that sort of thing.
