This guy has more than earned a chance to take us forward next season. A likeable chap and seems to have the players with him.

He’s delivering. Three huge games. 7 points and only 1 goal conceded. Able to rotate the squad effectively and getting the best out of fringe players. He’s a keeper. Very impressive end to the season. I think we all lost hope post-Cardiff but he's managed to keep us up with essentially two games spare. Todays result makes it guaranteed but we weren't ever going down after last week. Some huge lessons to be learned though.

It has to be a stay. He’s earned the right and the wobble a few games ago, sorting out of Mmaee, adapting the approach are all little bits that could form the foundation for something special to come.
Fair play Schu and the lads.

There have been glimpses recently as to how he wants to play and I like it !
With better finishing today it could have been 4.
He has rode that tricky spell where I really did think he wasn't up to it but he deserves a chance to have another crack at it.

I've been firmly in the SS out camp till very recently but it seems I was wrong and now think he should stay. I think SJW has had a really positive influence as well.
Hopefully we can have a really good transfer window and I'm actually looking forward optimistically to next season.
Onwards and upwards.

Fair play to him, slowly turning it around.
Great performance over the last 2 games.
Good signs for next season, starting to look like a team.

Fair play to him-he's had a few wobbles since being here, but ultimately he's kept a poor squad up and equalled last season's points total with a game to spare.
We were going down under Alex Neil, no doubt about it, so you have to view staying up as a success.
It's nice that we've actually started to look decent as well. Manhoef is a big reason for that and is proving to be an excellent signing. However, Schumacher also seems to be getting the best out of players like Thompson, Laurent and Hoever, who've all had their critics this year and look so much better than they did under the last manager.
I said a couple of months ago I wanted to wait until the end of the season before passing judgement, and despite wavering a few times, the last few games have convinced me that we should stick with Schuey and get behind him fully for next year.

The last two performances have been brilliant and to be fair I was sure we were dead and buried at one point.
Still got question marks over tactics and team selections, particularly against sides we should be really going at, but he’s earned the right to put my doubts to bed next season.
The summer recruitment is absolutely vital to our chances though.

Just being interviewed on radio Stoke, as well as relief he sounds very proud to be here I think he ( and the club) has benefited from appointing SJW - well done the Coates family

Get Travers, Coady and Souttar and Brereton Diaz up front, sorted. A very strong spine.

Fair enough. He’s done well in the end and kept us up.
Let’s see what next season brings.
Hopefully gets us challenging in the top half!
Here’s to an exciting summer.

Players are playing for him and definite patterns of play and improvement across the board He will have learnt loads as well in the bad run we had and good lessons learned

Fair play to the bloke, he’s managed to get a tune out of this absolute gaggle of spineless mercenary fuckwits, the perfomances recently have been superb when he could have absolutely folded under the pressure.
Hopefully with the right recruitment we can finally start looking upwards instead of down a yawning chasm.

We don't have to be gung Ho either, more than one way to win, but more aggression more forward thinking play take no shit and go for wins We just really struggle to score

We have to remember that Schumacher is a young coach and this was his first season managing at this level. He stepped into a dysfunctional football club - both on and off the pitch.
Has he made mistakes? Absolutely.
However, I think that we are in a better position now as a football club than when he was appointed. We seem to have a united group of players who want to play for the manager whilst SJW seems to have rectified the atmosphere behind the scenes.
The last couple of games is probably a blueprint of what a Schumacher team looks like. There was no doubt that he sacrifices some of his principles when we were struggling for results. However, he now will have the summer to build the team that he wants.
I am excited for next season, but we HAVE to get the recruitment right.
Well done Schuey!
