Get Travers, Coady and Souttar and Brereton Diaz up front, sorted. A very strong spine. Why is Brereton Diaz going to sign for us when he is scoring for fun for a shit Premier League side?

There have been glimpses recently as to how he wants to play and I like it ! With better finishing today it could have been 4. He has rode that tricky spell where I really did think he wasn't up to it but he deserves a chance to have another crack at it. I agree, Million missed a sitter and we should have a penalty. Players are playing for him and definite patterns of play and improvement across the board He will have learnt loads as well in the bad run we had and good lessons learned This. I think that Schumacher will have learnt a hell of a lot from the last few months. He will be a better manager next season for it.

Coincidences with certain players not making horrific mistakes game after game We have a young team The more they play the better their decision making and less mistakes improved fitness helps with this too We do have a flaw with the straight ball down the middle

And it wasn’t Southampton.

+ As a person I like him. He clearly cares and seems a good egg. + Last couple of games we’ve been excellent. I’d like to think this is how he wants us to play moving forwards. + The players clearly like him and he appeared to manage the situation with Mmaee well. + Kept us up after inheriting a misfiring squad. + Last 2 we’ve been good to watch. - Needs to stick with a system. Seems to want to mess around to much with selections. - Some of his subs have baffled me.
7/10 for me.
He deserves the opportunity to bring his own men in and move those he doesn’t fancy out. Only then can he truly be judged.

15 shots, 8 on target.
Some very good chances to score amongst them too.
With the right recruitment in the summer, we may actually enjoy ourselves next season.

100% deserves the opportunity to build this club. He is one of us.
Him and SJW seem like a perfect fit too

Outstanding reaction after that Cardiff loss at the end of Feb. Anything looked possible after that, but it's all turned out swimmingly Definitely did not see a feelgood factor emerging late on. He deserves a hell of a lot of credit

Far from won over with SS “but” the last two games shows there’s glimpses of he knows what he’s doing as his tactics have been spot on.

Why do I keep seeing Coady’s name banded about.
If you want a massive lump at the back that can’t fucking move why don’t we just ask the billionaire villain wing of Bet365 to lift Christ the redeemer from Rio de Janeiro and dump it on the edge of our box.
Coady Jesus Christ on not even his own motorcycle.

Mixed opinions all around on here. After the euphoria of the win at the weekend - which doesn’t leave us safe yet, if bizarre results keep on happening - mean that the our approach to 1st Southampton and then Bristol are still very important. The Southampton game is very interesting. I want to believe we have improved, found a pattern of play, tightened the defence and found a way to score some goals and this game gives Schumacher the chance to showcase all of that against a very good Championship side who are destined for playoffs rather than auto promotion. They play at Leicester tonight which will be tough. If all the positives I referred to above are true we should be approaching Saturday with positivity and be going there to try and win the game, not cower into a defensive formation (that we find hard to execute) because we are playing a top team and don’t believe we can beat. I think how he sets up on Saturday, how we play and what we achieve will provide important evidence about where we stand and whether the improvement is real. Ok, I said we would learn a lot from the game today. We did. We took the game to them bravely, won most individual duals and deservedly won the game. Could have easily been by a wider margin. So my verdict is, Schumacher stays and given full support - especially by us fans. He has proved we can compete, the Million signing is looking inspired (despite him not being as clinical as we want) and with a few additional signings and a full pre-season, we can be in good shape to challenge for a play off spot (optimistic but not out of the question).

One team today looked like a side ready to have a go at the play offs. And it wasn’t Southampton. Please pass on congratulations to him and congratulations to you and the rest of the family too! Congratulations to everyone! Post-traumatic, longsuffering fans just got a B12 shot today. Foxy, you have handled all this with class by the way. I won't criticize anyone for having an opinion, but you know what I mean! If he wakes up tomorrow morning lying in the garden, head buzzing it would be totally excusable!! (But I know he won't, being a family man and he's already scheming for Bristol. See? Yet ANOTHER reason to like him) This bloke has come in here, gotten infused with red/white blood, been way way way likeable and got us playing as a team, using what he had very well. Can tell that he really cares for the fans - now the lovely bloke has gone out and ...hell I don't even know where to start! The guys a gaffer! Hope we can keep him and he goes on to become a Stoke City legend and eventually a permanent part of this organization. Meanwhile, have a moment Schu, hug your family and enjoy! He's got this lot playing football, which is something I seriously doubted we'd see again any time soon. But it's also the most important improvement that I was hoping for. This takes a little bit of pressure off the transfer season too as he clearly can fashion a team out of mud and leftover parts from previous regimes. The praise needs to go on here, but in the interest of saving space... Obviously, I have gone all maudlin here... Verdict is in. Schu GET IN.

He’s done well. That nasty little run in February was horrific, but I think he learned a lot in that spell about his players. Coming back from going behind several times recently is also very encouraging.

The players are improving, it's what you should expect from a decent coach. If the players improve then performances improve and results improve. He's doing a brilliant job given he's only had a few months. He's taken on a team of strangers who didn't have a pre-season, who played like they were strangers and changed the way they play half way through the season and somehow got them playing as a team. It shouldn't be underestimated what a good job he has done here.

Yes, I think the last two performances have easily been the best of the season and that is the sign of good work going on in preparation.I can see the strategy there, I can see how we plan to attack. I don't think we need to overhaul everything, just a few key signings and hopefully SS will be backed on those signings

Surely he has saved his job with recent form and now the hard bit comes. Let’s see what next seasons stated ambitions are and how he is planning to achieve it.
In’s and outs will be interesting
