So what was it you wanted him to do drop the wide forwards deep to defend the flanks and play for a 0-0?? Options would include - match them up by moving Gooch to RWB or bringing on Dixon or Thompson to LWB - swap Tezgel and Gooch with Koumas and Bae to give us a threat in behind to drag their wingbacks back - go 4-5-1 with Moran behind Koumas (assuming Mmaee not able to do a full half) All would have been better than letting Watford continue to pin us in A point with a chance to nick it feels a lot better than what we did Personally I’d have taken Burger (who is one of my favorites..) off as he really looked off his normal game and replaced him with Baker or new boy Moran or even Sidibe and play with a flatter midfield with more width, then changed Gooch with Bae to give energy and more of a threat which would force their wingback to hold back, and seen where we are once second half kicks off. teams don’t set up for a nil nil, they set up not to concede in the hope they can snatch a goal from where ever, and if it ends nil nil, it’s an away point, think most would have settled for that away at Watford……..

When you lose the midfield battle you generally lose the game and we didn't just lose it we got annihilated in the centre of the pitch. I don't think changing the shape or bringing a couple of skinny kids on would have changed a lot. He had less than two minutes from being 0-0 to going behind, He had all his most powerful units on the field (fit ones) and they were being bullied mercilessly. It wasn't the best of games to be bringing Junho into returning from injury anyhow he might not have wanted to give him any longer or even use him at all. Sometimes you just have to take it on the chin. The game was reduced to physical battles and we lost them all.. If we'd had say Lawal fit and a big bruising CF maybe we could have bypassed the areas we were losing so comprehensively without just trying to park the bus.

Having been all the games so far this season, I am definitely not panicking after Saturday (although we were very poor second half).
One win, one defeat, and progressing to the next round of the cup having fielded a lot of youngsters is absolutely fine.
However, the squad definitely needs lots of work:
- Central midfield is a huge concern in terms of lacking quality. - We have a real lack of depth in defence. - I am still not entirely sure where the goals will come from.
Still plenty of time to work some magic in the transfer market, but we really need to get some things right in key areas.

Thought the goalkeeper was poor Saturday! Pretty much! 😂 I actually think our starting back four and goalkeeper will be absolutely fine. We just lack real cover (or anyone to push them). The midfield is taking shape a little. I rate Burger and I think that Moran will be a great addition. However, it still requires tinkering. I can see Baker and possibly Laurent both leaving (which will require further replacements). I think in terms of forwards Manhoeff and Jun Ho have lots of quality. Koumas is highly rated but young. Gallagher is ... well ... injured. The question I keep asking is will any of them break into double figures for goals scored?

Worrying that he’s seemingly reverted to the old 3 at the back after 3 games.
It doesn’t work!!!
Lose next week against an horrific Plymouth team and the pressure will be on.

Just get rid of the clueless buffoon. Managerially what the F was that, honestly Key Stone Cops His stats aren't disastrous yet, but they are heading that way. 2 unbelievably poor performances and players all over the place in an unfancied, negative formation. Very very poor start that's for sure. 1.00 ppg so far

I’m slipping now to be honest.
Can’t see him doing the season, rinse and repeat ad nauseum until John Coates is shot into space sellotaped to a missile.

He’s clueless. Ok WBA have a better manager but they’ve just lost most of their team yet controlled the game and dictated the pace. There’s better managers out there.

There's 2 with their bollocks on the line. SJW and Schumacher. Can SJW sack Schumacher and save his? Will he?

It’s a professional sport and we have this idiot in charge, honestly I’ve sat here cringing and thinking how low we’ve sank from last season alone, staggering.
Watch his body language it’s shocking and him on the touch line is a carbon copy of what’s out on the pitch.
What’s our response hire JW friggin the font of all that is football to prop up SS embarrassing inadequacies.
He should of been sacked last season

My concern is that there seems to be no plan whatsoever.
The big observation today is that Koumas was consistently making runs and making the rest of the team looking static. Feel for Bocat who was often making overlaps but only once received the ball. Gooch is never going to be the answer - unnecessary fouls when we're enjoying periods of pressure, crap crosses and a lack of vision.
SS has a really poor demeanour - he doesn't look confident, and it rubs off on the team. There were four different formations in that second half!!!

It was so easy for West Bom to open up acres of space. We really need to get back to basics field position wise and take up a shape that is difficult to beat. Defensively two lines of four at the back and two up front.

Oh dear. Not much to say about that performance. Glad that I am at work. If I had to pay to watch that performance I would not be happy. SJW was brought in as a publicity stunt to divert attention from a struggling SS. I really do not know what the answer is to our ongoing problem of not being able to kick a ball in to a net. How hard can it be ?????

Coming to the conclusion that the bloke is tactically bankrupt and we'll be back on the looking for a manager treadmill in January.
The club continues to spiral downwards off the pitch, with shit recruitment and poor management. Nice fanzone though.

Don’t trust him at all to take us forward, appalling today. WBA were crap and we made them look good.
Poor for large chunks of last season.
I wanted him gone last season and I’d shed no tears if he went now.

We managed one single attempt in the second half & that was Koumas hitting the post after they made a mistake on the edge of the area.
It’s completely unacceptable at this level that we cannot even create one chance for ourselves in 45 minutes, when we are trailing at home in a local derby.
His substitutions were horrific, players all over the place, no game plan & just hoping something would happen.

Personally I think it will still come good this year, Plymouth fans on twitter still talk about how good he was, plus he’s got lawal to come into the side, get a forward who knows where the net is with million and Koumas either side with bae just behind, we will be pushing the top 10 imo, this ain’t the finished side, we probably need a striker and a full back and we will be up there

We may as well just hire a manager and then sack them straight away.
They’ll be shit.
Is really difficult for all the players and manager at the moment, they know they will get lynched if they make mistakes or lose which makes it more likely to happen.

I was really hoping he could turn us around. I've now come to the conclusion he doesn't know his arse from his elbow. Gooch , junior &the invisible laurent all need to go. Not really sure what the plan was today& I don't think SS did either. For me I'd pull the trigger now.
