Good chance he returns to Westminster tonight. At least its one less tory/conservative seat even if it only lasts a few months.
Would be good to see the workers party build on this but can't see it.

I agree with Galloway on certain issues, fundamentally disagree with him on others but I guess I can understand why the residents of Rochdale would vote for him with the current shit show in the other parties locally. He seems to be the only one willing to fight to save Rochdale AFC as well, you could argue it's another bandwagon he's jumping on but he does have the profile to keep it in the news at least.......

It will certainly be one less right wing mp but on this occasion it will be a Starmer lickspittle that fails to get elected I’m well aware that the current Labour candidate got himself kicked out for not lickspittling enough If Galloway plays his cards right he could well have for or five other MPs at the next election

Voting for politicians based not on their merit but because others are even more incompetent. It’s a very sad state of affairs.

Two new threads started around the same time today - George Galloway and Dave Myers - Similar ages, but Galloway 3 years senior.
One has died and the other is back in the limelight... the world is a cruel place - clearly the good die young whilst the devil looks after his own...

Dave Myers was a good guy and a very likeable bloke.

I thought Galloway was gonna take this, maybe im wrong. Interesting. I thought Galloway was nailed on too. I still think, despite this, that Galloway will win.

Galloway: 12,335 Tully: 6,638 Tories: 3,731 Labour: 2,402 Lib Dems: 2,164 Reform: 1,968
Galloway absolutely tearing into Starmer over Gaza. Whether ultimately he can prove to be a genuine thorn in the side of Labour remains to be seen of course.

Morals go out the window where politics are concerned. The worlds gone mad if people are voting for a guy who’s totally humiliated himself on Big Brother acting like a cat drinking milk out of a bowl and then scamming the voters. I can’t see this ending well.

Galloway's only decent public appearance (IMO). He starts at about 6:30.

The frenzy about him gaining this seat this morning is quite amusing. The media are shitting themselves, a bit of a weird reaction

Do you really think Gaza was an issue when voting? Looking at Huddy's post regarding historic voting I'd surmise it'd always swing with whoever sympathises most with Hamas.
