I'm hoping we get it done for around £2million.
But I wouldn't be against a deal that saw it rise to £3million based on performance/goals/assists etc.

Unfortunately they don’t negate the main issue, which is he’s a defender that struggles with basic defending and is an accident waiting to happen. What can be said. Our last two HC/managers disagree but who are they when Oatcake experts have spoken We’ve already had this conversation mate, let’s just agree to disagree. As I’ve said before, if he signs for us, hopefully he improves and becomes much more consistent 👍🏻

The people who've played him consistently including at RCB and have both wanted to get him back. Oatcake experts saying he can't defend are pretty laughable.

We all know no one is going pay 4million.
If we’re honest he’s barely worth half that. People need remember that if he didn’t have that good game against Plymouth then we probably wouldn’t be encouraged by having him back. He played an absolute blinder that game and decent for 2 after that but before he was mostly anonymous.
Even Plymouth fans weren’t that arsed about him leaving. The large majority of their fans thought he could easily be replaced and were more bothered about another player who I think left them for someone else if I remember rightly?
1.5 seems a fair offer with a decent sell on clause for them. 2 maybe at a stretch but I don’t think I’d want us spend much more than that on him.

I’ve already said that he probably played a lot more due to there being no alternative following Junior and Stevens’s injuries. If the previous incumbent was such an amazing judge of a player then I’m surprised he served up shit for so long and ultimately lost his job!

To put things into context we’ve just paid 2m+ for a player who has played a grand total of 42 professional league games, all in league one for a club that got relegated. Cundle has played over 70 games in the championship and a couple of times in the premier league, no complaints from me if we were to spend similar or slightly more on him who is less of an unknown at this level.

Both men preferred him to Junior even when the latter was fit. I don’t profess to know more than either about the game however they performed and whether I like/d them or not tbh that’s pure arrogance. I’ll disagree with decisions manager/HC’s make but that’s based purely on what I want to see. I don’t go getting all Bayernoatcake giddy and thinking I actually know better than them.

If we keep playing Bae further forward then we currently only have Baker as an AM so yes. We've lacked someone in midfield who plays heads up and can make a killer pass and Cundle fits the bill for me.

It looked for all the world all through pre season that Schu would stick with the 1:2 midfield even though we don’t appear to have the players for it. 1st league game straight to a 2:1.

I’ve not said that I know better than them, I’ve said that one of the reasons that Hoever became a shoe in was because there were no other options. If you cast your mind back to last December, he’d started being replaced by Gooch and Junior. Fast forward to the new year and junior was at AFCON and Stevens got injured, meaning that Gooch regularly covered LB and Hoever took the RB spot without competition as Junior returned injured. These are the facts.

I noticed he wasn’t in the squad yesterday. Are Moran and Cundle similar in style, does the signing of Moran mean that we’ve moved on from Cundle?
Time will tell as they say.
