Did you actually see those games at the end of the season? I was of the same opinion as you before then, I just thought he was an absolutely invisible, lightweight, nothing player who Schuey had brought in because he knew him. But something definitely clicked, he looked hungry, was on the ball and involved in everything, played good forward passes. I also remembered he’s only 21(?) or something. There's definitely a talented player there and with age on his side I think he’ll develop into a cracking AM I did. And that’s what moved me from him being useless to thinking he could be ok. It didn’t move to thinking he’d be worth spending money on yet. I can see why would tbh as he did look very good but I don’t like that he didn’t turn up until then. . I didn’t like that either but I think his age mitigates that. Worth 500k of anyone’s money anyway 😛 |

If I had to choose between Cundle and Hoever I’d take the former every time. Even before he scored a couple at the end of last year I thought there was a player in there. He has good energy and started to link midfield with attack well. Seemed tidy on the ball and thought he got better and better.
Most importantly, we desperately need someone for that position so if we can get someone decent, young and reasonably priced then it ticks all the boxes.

2 million for Cundle sounds a good deal to me. For Wolves they take the profit on day 1 which will be important to them
I'd imagine a bit like lots of clubs seem to be doing, they'd want first refusal on him or even a guaranteed buyback

There's a very good player there who is going to be way more than £4m, he's 21, worth the money. I hope we sign him on a permanent deal, he'll be worth more next summer if he avoids any major injuries and plays a full season in the championship. Not sure he's worth 4m right now though and I doubt anyone else is going to pay that for him at the moment? you'd hope it would be closer to 2m. |
