Quite simply, the Premier League, have timed Everton's points deduction to ensure that they don't go down and the effect is minimal. They have waited until Everton, have got in an experienced manager ( Dysche) , a few decent results, a bit of form and then give them a points deduction, measured to give them every chance of staying up . Nice to have friends in high places. The FA doesn't have it's lodge above the Freemason's Arms pub on Long Acre for nothing...

And Man City will never get done because if they did it would make a sham out of roughly the last ten years of the Premier League.

When will the big boys get done? Makes zero difference. If Citeh get docked it wont hurt them one bit. What they should do is impose relegation like they did to Swindon a few years ago, and like the Jocks did to Rangers And a transfer embargo...

Mountains of evidence apparently. A lot of it leaked and looked at concluding they're fooked. But somehow they'll avoid anything. They'll be protected i reckon and their clever lawyers will ensure it goes away. They've obviously controlled the media as we never hear a peep about it nowadays. Total joke. Yep but no one knows exactly what they're apparently guilty of apart from what we've read in the media and seems to be brought up by opposition fans without full knowledge. The whole FFP thing needs canning anyway. Wouldn't do us any harm if it was of course. Ots about them shifting money between different companies to make man city look like its not breaking rules. They've even got emails of senior execs in man city revealing they know they are doing it. They are bang to rights. But they will obfuscate like they did last time. The league needs to hammer them or its out and out corruption.

They went bust and had to reform at the bottom. The only problem with relegation is all it does is punish teams like us in The Championship by taking a promotion place away. Within a couple of years they'll be back in the Champions League again. Best thing would be either a multi season points deduction, or multi season ban from the Champions League.

I am certain they have broke the rules. I would be amazed if anything meaningful is done about it.

The stupidity is that with owners richer than everyone else put together, they could still buy the title without sorting to playing fast and loose with the rules.

Good season to be docked points, still only one win of being safe........... Yeah they are on mid table form also. 20 odd games plenty to stay up. The amusing thing about the photo is the thought process, that led Burnley to conclude they don't need the likes of Sean Dysche , managing their football team , in the premier League.

It's all fucking corrupt, top to bottom. These points should've been docked last season and they should already be in the Championship now.

Didn't Citeh get away with it before because the dates UEFA had were different to ones Citeh had and it was made clear that the Arab banks had changed the dates of the transactions so they didn't fall into 10 year limit for prosecution, also they still have 115 charges against them. Just listening to the reporter from the Athletic Everton were given plenty of time and have lied and done other things that do warrant the punishment in regards to the rules.

Good to see.
No doubt an appeal will be incoming and I'd not be surprised if it was ultimately halved.

If you were a fan of the teams that went down you would be livid. But they are minnows so don’t count to some. Can you imagine the shit getting relegated in these circumstances? Everton have not been punished with this deduction but the clubs that went down last season have for playing by the rules. I hope the governments stance will improve things and clear out these twats.

Very true Talk of Burnley and court action now why would Burnley take legal action? I read that all 3 relegated sides had written to the potential buyers of Everton warning that, if the PL found them guilty, then these 3 clubs would sue for £100m each as compensation for being effectively 'cheated' out of their PL status, I guess Leicester would be front and centre in this

When will the big boys get done? In reality they are one of the big boys (lapsed) and probably will be again. However agree with the sentiment, two word answer to your question, probably never.

Think what happened with Man City is the charges brought out about them came too late and so missed a deadline by when the charges should have been brought forward. So the charges were dropped as they were time barred. Its the reason this time there are so many charges and within the correct time period. Not sure of the exact amount of time you can go back, but unfortunately probably means they continue to hold the fa cup against us. But they could be giving up alot now, potentially including last year's results!
