Nothing against Everton from me, I've met quite a few Everton fans over the years and they've always seemed grounded and decent people. They did very well to stay up last season with the points deductions - and even if they hadn't have been reduced on appeal they'd still have stayed up - it was a piss poor effort from the bottom 3.
I don't enjoy Dyche's football and I enjoy his interviews even less, but I suspect they'll find some stability with him for the time being, he is of a dying breed though (for now at least - but this industrial football will be back at some point, hopefully not anytime soon).

They have turned into Wigan, just a lame animal that keeps limping on and needs putting out of its misery. It will be a huge shame if that lovely old stadiums final game is one of relegation Spot on comparison but that ground is appalling Not all parts, I have been on the top tier of the double decker stand quite a few times and the view is amazing provided you donβt mind heights.

Can someone change the title of the thread to 'Everton' ? I keep thinking they've been docked another 10 points this season.

Yeah Ive always quite liked Everton. They were certainly my favourite of the big clubs in the 80s probavly due them usually having an ex Stokie or 2 in the side. Always found their fans decent aswell, probs similar to Man City fans before they hit the jackpot

Don't mind Everton but Dyche is a weapons grade bell-end.
I remember when Burnley played Aberdeen in Europe and he had the absolute cheek to moan like fuck about Aberdeen's style of play in the 1-1 first leg at Pittodrie. They won 3-1 at home but Aberdeen gave a good account of themselves yet he was giving it the absolute massive one in his interview after despite having ten times the revenue and churning out absolutely shite football with it week in week out.

He gets such an easy ride from the media as well. Think back to the attitude towards Pulis when we were in the top flight, and this fella is more of footballing dinosaur than Pulis ever was......

It used to drive me mad. You may not have liked his style of football (although, in spite of the myths we played some exciting attacking stuff at times - just ask Bolton) but we didn't cheat by divig all over the place and creeping to the ref. The difference between the way we were treated and Eddie, media darling, Howe's Bournemouth, who fell over and rolled around crying to the ref as soon as anyone went near them, showed the bias against us. That would be a topic for another thread, which team is the most "cheating bastards"?

My kids loved The Burnley Way. "Remember, a flailing elbow or forearm can be both offensive and defensive."

Will this year finally be the year they get what they deserve? Championship football. I hope so. What really annoys & frustrates me is how Everton have had season after season of struggle & last year aside, have taken the relegation scrap to the the last few matches of the season before making themselves safe, yet we went from doing absolutely fine to dropping like a stone. No second chances for us like Everton keep having! Villa & Sunderland were the same, had a few years running of manging to avoid the drop before time caught up with them! So frustrating that we never just had a good scare & a second chance like so many others seem to get. Despite our owners not knowing what all the fuss was about that relegation season, I'm sure surviving that 2017/18 season would have rang the alarm bells with them sufficiently enough to make sure we weren't in the same position the following season. Never had the chance find out did we ππ€
