That's never worked out. Whenever we think there's an easier run of games, it never turns out that way and we fare badly. We've won two games on the bounce which we have rarely done this last 7 awful years. We have a promising team. Now is the time to build on those results, there's no free hit, it's a game we should expect to take a point from. They are a good side but they're without their main men in Midfield and defence this weekend. We can get a good result here. We’ve won 3 games on the trot once since 2016. Not even sure that one time was 3 league games. Was it 2 league games and 1 cup tie? 3 league wins Think we also had another run under O'Neill where we won 2 league and one cup win |

What I would say is if we lose we take it on the chin and don’t over react and that applies to Neil too. We need to keep the formation and personal (maybe 1 or 2 changes when players get tired / injured) as it is as after the last 2 games it feels like players are getting used to each other and playing well. No more 343 We won’t lose on Saturday 👍 I take that back Chewbacca the Wookie |

Obviously it’s a real downer losing Travers. I hope we all get behind Bonham on Saturday though to give him a bit of confidence. He’ll be our number one until at least January and it won’t do any good groaning any mistakes he might make.

After 2 wins and a particularly good performance on Wednesday there was a group of Oatcake contributors who were having to feed on scraps such as moaning about Thompson at left back.
Suddenly they are reinvigorated and Travers being recalled can be shown as proof of the what a crap club we are.

For anyone travelling up I would recommend going up the M62 as the M1 is down to 1 lane at Meadowhall, or was last night at least.
Losing Travers is a big blow but I’m still optimistic about today.

I think Stevens starts for me, I think he's a better footballer than Thompson and uses the ball really well. Thompson doesn't deserve to be dropped in my opinion, but he's a very useful squad player and seems a good egg. It's not really a question of who's the better player; it's more a matter of who's the fitter one. Neil seems to think that Stevens can't play two games per week. Thompson on the other hand can run foreva. |

It’s a double whammy situation for todays game… we won’t win 3 in a row (when do we ever) and losing Travers means we’re basically fucked whenever the opposition have a shot on target.
Comfortable Middlesbrough win and a tough couple of months coming up

I wouldn't have thought a goalkeeper would be required to have the same level of fitness or stamina as an outfield player and I'd have thought anyone looking to be signed would have been keeping himself in a decent level of fitness. |
