Travers
Junior (a bit more solid away from home) Rose McNally Stevens
Pearson Burger Bae
Leris or Haks Wesley Vidigal or Haks
Haks - dependent on how they are for fitness and knocks etc after 2 games in a few days
3 wins on the bounce for us will do nicely

We played really well up there last season and deserved more than the point we got. I think it has all the makings of a very good game, but I fancy us for at least a point if we attack well.
2-2.

Would be absolutely majestic to leapfrog Wayne Rooneys Birmingham City in the table on Saturday, entirely possible as they've got a difficult run of 3 games

Leris was pretty invisible tonight, maybe he needs a rest. I’d be tempted to start big Wes. I beg your pardon…?

It's going to be a tough, tightly contested affair. I'll go 3-0 Stoke 😁

They’ve won seven in a row and are the form team in the division along with Leicester. Last night would have taken a lot out of our players and they have had the extra days rest, so a draw would be a decent result. Boro are due a thrashing!

Now is the time to put a run together. We have to avoid defeat.

I don't really know how strong their squad is to be fair but it would be interesting to see how they would cope.

Id like to think we have sold a few more hundred tickets today Over a 1000 of us going according to the Stoke site. They’re also doing pay on the day - cash only. I’m coming down from Newcastle on the train for this one, get in Boro for 2pm so I’m thinking of getting a quick pint in “hit the bar” then a walk to the ground.

No I mean I’d rejig some things to accommodate Wes and bench Leris. Perhaps Wes in the middle and use Hax and Vidi Assume signal was dodgy in London.

Stevens in for Thompson and that’ll do for me. Yes I agree - we need some consistency in selection. After the Boro we have 2 games over a 4 week period so I'm not sure the need to rest players (except if still recovering from injury) is that pressing.

Feels like we’ve given ourselves a bit of a free shot here with the 2 home wins. Hopefully we can perform well and take some positives away regardless of the result.
Looking at the fixture list, once this game is out of the way then there’s a lot of much more favourable fixtures between now and January. Obviously this league means there are no guarantees, but we’ve got a nasty run out of the way and should be looking up the table for the next few months. The goal for me is to stay within spitting distance of the top 6 because I’m sure we’ll be looking to make a few more signings in the window. I know we’re not a great side but you really don’t have to be world beaters to trouble the top 6 in this league, and so I don’t think it’s too far beyond our reach to be one of the teams going into the final flurry of fixtures with playoffs still in sight.
