I said a few weeks ago we were still fighting relegation and I got laughed at. I’m not wrong. I don’t think we’ll go down but it’s going to be tighter than many realise. We are, still, REALLY shit and I think some people are underestimating that. I genuinely think that given the new manage bounce has evaporated and the low quality of our playing staff we could easily be teetering on the brink.

I think it’ll be close but we’ll just about scrape it. This can’t be allowed to happen again though. I just don’t know what’s wrong with this club.

On this day in 1998, we were 17th, on 32 points from 27 games.
We’re currently doing worse than that. It doesn’t look good.

I genuinely think we’re in trouble.
I think QPR have a good run in them. I’m starting to wonder where our next win is coming from. I trust in Shuey and if the worst did happen he’s the man for League 1. Just hope we can scrape clear. We need someone to score for us.

Problem is if we go down, Schumacher has basically proved to be a Championship Paul Lambert.

Criminal that it has come to this, but I’ve thought we had a pretty good chance of going down after 5 games. The summer business has been absolutely atrocious. On paper those players look good, but only if you were adding 2/3 to a functional team. We’ve ended up with a team of confidence players, no leaders and no idea how to scrap and dig out results. The worst possible combination in any league and especially the championship where the bottom feeders fight like hell.

Bit of a new manager bounce which was needed, but the test was aways going to come when we lost one. As a team we generally just fold when we lose one.
Before our new manager came we looked like a team that was just going to plumet and I couldn't see us winning, we were giving away leads, conceding in the last minute - all traits of a relegation outfit.
His tactics were very naïve today though and we saw, a bit, how inexperienced he is at this level - leaving his square peg full-backs exposed for me.
Not a good feeling tonight, we have a manager who wants to attack and get the ball forward, which he is managing but we have nobody to put the ball in the onion bag - and we are going to struggle defensively if we commit too much going forward as there is a complete lack of quality in every defensive position and as we have seen in the last 2 games when they are left exposed we look shocking

If QPR win tomorrow it’s 5 points.
Definitely in a relegation battle.

How the fuck can you bring in 17 players an have no keeper signed no left back a half decent cb no decent striker like it’s insane we are in deep shit You start by recruiting a bog standard journey man championship manager allowing him to appoint west hams academy Bloke as his boss and then giving said idiot full control. You then allow him to appoint Sheffield Uniteds IT Bloke as head of recruitment neither of which have any credibility at this level but you give them a billionaire cheque book anyway Then when they fuck up you allow them to chuck their mate under the bus and appoint a patsy who you buy off by letting him have his teachers pet in his first window. [ ]Add.that to being the 116 worst club in the r world for transfer losses and we are where we are and make no.mistake deserve.to get relegated.

We simply do not have enough players who are capable of scoring to fire us up the table. Then at the other end of the pitch we have give away some really poor goals recently.
I think the bottom three (Rotheram, QPR, and Sheffield Wednesday) will all go down.
However, unless we get a couple of new faces in before the transfer window closes then I think things might get a little too close for comfort.

It’s genuinely appalling. You just can’t throw a squad of random average shite signed from abroad and just expect it to click.
Even when it was happening… it was completely ill thought out. Not a single competent defender, the gk mess, and selling the only forward capable of scoring a fucking goal on a semi regular basis.
2 good players in the squad. We deserve everything we get.
It’s a fight now- and we don’t have the players for it.

We ain’t getting nothing next Saturday, so the game with them is taking on biblical proportions and we have zero bottle and grit. It will be a re visitation of the Sheff Weds home game…..

Oh no, we lost away to a team that finished in the playoffs last year and will likely do the same again this year! Context is everything, but you couldn’t be wider of the mark. It’s more of an oh no we actually played half decently, but can’t defend to save our lives or score in a brothel. All very very worrying characteristics at this time in the season and all traits that teams on the slide demonstrate.

We've demonstrated that since the second game of the season - see my OP and you could virtually copy and paste it to describe today's game. Nothing has changed.
