Long way to go, but we keep getting rolled over by single goals and are completely anaemic up top when we concede. Millwall, Preston and now Norwich.
The game in midweek at Huddersfield will tell us a lot around how close to the bottom we could be - they're a side we should be beating.
Contrary to what the manager and players have said, we looked like a League One side today.

Rotherham, sheff wed, Plymouth, Swansea, Boro all looking very poor. I’m hoping once vidigal and Maaee are back we’ll start to pick up points. Big week ahead, and you shouldn’t really be saying that in September.

The bewildering thing is why would anyone be surprised , Our end of season form was shambolic , he then out of charachter fell head over heels for Jared’s smooth talk and his sponsor Ricky’s pillars and accepted a trolley dash of unproven flair players with no substance or any attempt to address the. COre issues of last season , goals , physicality and central defence power . we have grafted a recruitment disaster beyond all others on top of a truly awful team and sold two of the proven championship players in the squad in brown and Tymon right at the death , without properly replacing either we are now in a worse position than any since. relegation . it’s actually very un Alex Neil like , he’s gone from mediocre / bland ‘ lower championship cv. to a totally erratic , catastrophic lost soul . A,d his pre match interview talking of we can see where we are and it’s going to take time suggests he knows he’s in huge trouble . I can only see a truly terrible season from here neil for sure won’t survive 🐊will have him its just when , but the more important question is can we actually find three worse teams right now I can’t see them |

With good reason, I am an eternal pessimist regarding Stoke. However, there are, without question three teams / squads worse than stoke. Does that mean we will finish above those teams? That depends on many things my friend. AN, SCFC Hierarchy, Players Attitude and ability, Club Culture and maybe even Fans.

If this latest “project” fails and we have to get rid of AN, to be left with a hastily-assembled rudderless ship made of experimental, untested, lightweight materials from stern to bow, I’ll lose hope completely that we'll ever get back up to the Prem under the current ownership regime. They’ll have tried everything, thrown ££ at it in various formats and come up badly short every time. I doubt it’ll be this season but sooner or later we’ll be going down, it’s an inevitability.
So fingers crossed he sorts it out. The eggs are weighing heavy in that basket

I'd say it's the strongest it's been since we've been in it, the relegated teams are very strong and you have bang average teams like Cardiff signing players like Ramsey and grant the quality is a lot higher than say 2 years ago where the whole league was equal and no top quality teams. |

The 3 relegated teams are all stronger than the 3 who got promoted and I would argue Ipswich, Plymouth and ShefWeds are an improvement on the financial basket cases of Reading and Wigan. Last season was so weak Luton deservedly got promoted. |
