Just watched the West Brom v Plymouth game on itv player. Bottom line is that the team at the top of the table (well second) are a team of pseudo basketball players. How we have managed to bring in quite so many short arses is a mystery to me and we will end up at the wrong end of the table because of it I don't particularly want to return to the land of giants but when you watch us walk out and particularly v WBA you do often notice that not only do our opponents look taller than us they also look more athletic which must give them confidence before the game even kicks off. Apart from Koumas, Million and Junior I think everyone else looks like they wouldn't be able to fight their way out of a paper bag. Hull had their share of short players but a team does need a physical presence.

Portsmouth potentially one of them, let's see tonight - others in the mix are looking like Millwall, Preston, Cardiff and Derby but it's a long old season.

Relegation wasn’t on my mind at all under Schumacher. We were inconsistent and did look poor in some of out worse performances under him, but I assumed a midtable finish would give us something to build on next season, and that keeping one manager for 12 months would provide some much-needed stablity.
If we lose tonight, I’ll be quite concerned about the rest of the season. The new bloke simply doesn’t convince me at all.

It's normally about now.

Well I'll be awfully disappointed if Portsmouth finish above us this season on that display!

Pompey are the worst side I’ve seen down here since our relegation.
Absolutely rancid outfit and they might as well have played rush keeper.

They were hilariously bad. I felt sorry for our fans againt Boro on Satdee but tonight I felt for the pompey fans.
God if we have had a fall from grace from the Premier League, what the fuck has happened to Portsmouth these last years?
