Cheers Mehdi, always gave 100% and was surprisingly good in the air, he may have flourished more in a team that wasn't struggling (last season) and constantly being shuffled / dropped. Deffo a player with a great attitude and the ambition that he needs to play regularly.

I’ve got say it gripes me a bit when players who are seen to give their all for the shirt get the ‘no great loss..bye’ or a ‘now for the next out the door’ comments…he wasn’t good enough that was all, it definitely wasn’t for lack of effort, he’ll definitely go with my best wishes🔴⚪️

I get the disappointment on the fee, the reports of 3m really got a few of us excited at a big profit from a pretty average season from Leris. However, even just getting our money back is still decent business because it is quite evident we are shopping at a higher level this window. Leris was an ok player at best, did a job and could cover a few positions, but the calibre of player we look to be after is on another level. Good luck to the lad, I think Pisa are quite an ambitious outfit at the moment and are pushing for Serie A this season, I am just not sure Filippo is a good enough manager, unlike his brother. foloppo

Sometimes it just doesn't work out but you were a solid pro who gave me some good memories so cheers and good luck, Mehdi 👍
I still think last summer's recruitment was the best we've done in ages.

Wow quite disappointing after all their reports of a fee over €3M. It’s still perfectly acceptable for a player we had little use for who’s never going to hold down any position. There were no reports of a 3 million fee. It was a 3 million package. Yeah right there weren't the words over €3M which goes to Stoke City. Nowt like making the truth up after events.

Said it days ago. Can't be bothered searching back. You guessing changes the words, right ??? PISA. There is no official status yet but Pisa has now closed the negotiation for Mehdi Leris positively. The Nerazzurri have reached an agreement with both the player and Stoke City, a club that plays in the Championship. We are talking about figures exceeding three million euros. Three-year contract for the midfielder of the Algerian national team and who played in Italy with Brescia and Sampdoria. Another important addition for Inzaghi while waiting for the negotiation that leads to Gianluca Lapadula to be definitively unblocked. I thought it was clear. It didn't say fee. More an assumption than a guess. And no one thought he was worth that.

I was even quite clear I though giving him a free and not paying his wages for another 2/3 years was no disaster. Does nothing to change what was published in the Italian press.

Shame.
He left so he’d get game time, when we’ve had plenty who would just sit about collecting coin for nothing.
Hopefully a successful recovery, but it’s a long journey.

Thought superman had put that tower right? Superman did. Leris is leaning to the left to help out the local tourist board. It’s probably in his contract.

Get well soon Mehdi. Liked the lad. Don't think I've seen a player win more headers than him. Crazy for a winger.
